They say it's your birthday ...

To mark this milestone in the life of Paul, what are your favourate Paul solo albums, songs etc?

I'll start with my favourate Paul albums -

Ram
Band on the Run
London Town (underrated imo)
Off the Ground (very good imo if you include the bonus non-album tracks of that era)
Flaming Pie (Beautiful Night is imo a Beatles quality ballad)
Chaos and Creation (probably ties with Band on the Run as his best album for me, even more with the non-album tracks  Geek )
Memory Almost Full
The Fireman - Electric Arguments (the opener Nothing Too Much Just Out of Sight is imo a Helter Skelter for the 21st century. A great, inventive, modern Paul album)

Honourable mentions go to-

McCartney
McCartney II (Temporary Secretary is the top imo  Smokin )
Back to the Egg (Cool, experimental Wings album)
The Fireman - Rushes  (beautiful, experimental ambient instrumental psychedelia)

Thanks in advance for any responses  Smiley

Can't believe the two greatest musical geniuses (along with Lennon) were born only 2 days apart. One in impoverished and bombed out Liverpool, the other in the Hawthorne suburban area south of LA

Born only 2 days apart during the war, yet they would both in their own unique way dominate the music industry and leave a huge cultural and musical legacy rivaling that of the great classical composers. Truely remarkable.

It'd be cool if they called each other each year to wish each other a happy birthday and just to talk a little. Did you know that Paul McCartney called "God Only Knows" the greatest song ever written and that Pet Sounds is one of his favorite albums?

I'd say my favorites are a three-way tie between Band On the Rut, Dark Side of the Sun, and White Dopes on Punk. Love Dirk's Punk Floyd-era stuff. Glad to see he's still kickin' it at age 70.  LOL LOL LOL
