1. Daybreak is not nearly as catchy as Kokomo.
2. It's not 1988 anymore. I very much doubt if Kokomo could've been a hit in 2012. So the idea that a new Kokomo could be the next big Beach Boys hitsingle is probably outdated.

I think that if there's one single from the album that could be a real hit, it has to be Isn't It Time. It reminds me of Train's Hey Soul Sister a little bit, it kind of has the same feel.

I'd pull up that Jack Rieley quote of how they continue to blow it!

I really think Isn't it Time is their only chance in hell of having a mainstream hit. Even then, it'd probably need to be tweaked slightly if it wanted to have decent chart placement. I think the changes for ensuring Isn't it Time hits the charts well would be:

- Getting Al to sing Brian's lead
- Laying a hint of brass or something similar beneath the chorus to give it a touch more punch
- Having Bruce tackle the bridge instead of Foskett
- Tightening the vocals a tad (Brian slurs a bit on the chorus and Mike sounds a little flat on the chorus after the bridge)
- Either fading out one chorus round earlier or figuring out a tag that doesn't cause the end of the song to seem droney

Honestly, I can't see how the song could not be a hit if they did the above.

It kinda is actually, there's a big 80's revival.
