Redeem my youtube 'Gold Status' air miles.

The band look cool now but in a few years those clothes will be as funny as hell just like the gold vest, robe and jumpsuits.

I'll have more time with the wife and kid....I mean kids!

Can go back to ignoring the Mike and Bruce show.

I'll be able to go to sleep at night without worrying about them adding more of my favorites after my show passed! Damn you ASMTYD, Hawaii, Marcella, DDD, and It's OK!

Also, it'll be a nice feeling to know most of us got to witness at least one gig from this historic tour once it's all said and done.

And before that happens, Brian should employ another lyricist and dispense with the 45 year old Myke Luhv influence on some good Brian tunes. The last three entries on this outing is the raison d'etre. Kudos to Al Jardine for his magnificant vocals. Brian should hire Al to record and tour with his band and let the M&B show wither away into oblivion.

In the year 2060 ish I'll (hopefully) be able to say that I saw the Beach Boys (and Brian Wilson) live! Hell I'll be celebrating the 100th anniversary of PS and the Smile recordings. I also believe that the Beach Boys underrated back catalogue (1967-1977) will get more recognised as time progresses given the internet, release of smile, this tour, and obviously the compilations which will no doubt continue to enter the market even after the last BB breathes his last.
I also think that new compilations will be forced to rely on remixed versions of songs from the back catalogue as people grow beyond SoS. This has already happened to PS, is happening with Smile, and will happen with the 1967-1977 period (or at least 1967-1973)

Also there will be biopics out, Dennis will be more recognised for his solo effort. His biopic is soon out, Brian's will be coming up. Might be another, better mini series in the style of American Family.. who knows what brilliant (and trash) stuff the public will be exposed to?

Al toured with 'em in 2006. From what I'm told, there's a...good reason...he didn't continue. FWIW, he sounded great, and it was really cool to have him there for "I Know There's An Answer."

2nded. I can't really imagine Al being a diva, but some people just don't mix well.

I think it was as simple as that, really. When you get down to it.
