...is it just me or do Brian and Jeff seem to teeter-totter back and forth between who weighs the most? Tongue

Bra or no bra, that clip perfectly explains why this tour HAD to happen. Irrespective of what may or may not be goign on behind the scenes, the complete and utter joy of being, just once more, The Beach Boys has energised them all.

And make no mistake, these are The Beach Boys.

Agreed. Its wonderful.  Lucky are those who get to the concerts.

I've been to tons of concerts with 50's and 60's acts, and believe me, the old-age jokes KILL with those crowds.

BTW, Mike kinda knows what he's doing.  Longest serving frontman and all.

It's very likely possible that he knows more about working a crowd than you or I do.

I also like the clip of "Mike & Brian banter" from Raleigh, reminiscing onstage about their high school days.

Yes that was great and Brian perked up. More of those unprompted memories during the tour please.

That's the thing about Brian that freaks out/confuses a lot of people - sometimes, he's either on of off, and he can switch between those two in a heartbeat. Look at the eyes... and Mike is right, Brian's memory can sometimes just floor you with it's detail and accuracy.

Yes, definitely. Coach told me many times that Brian could, if he wanted to, tell the exact details of most any 60s session he did, including which musicians played which instruments and who else was there!  Sure wish Coach was here today.

Thats awesome that Brian could do that, Coach really looked out for Brian.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Now, that to me sums up this whole fan thing, and the bond. We just say "Coach" and we all know who that is: honestly, I hardly ever recall anyone calling him Bob. Likewise, very few friends of his call (the other) Alan anything except Boyd. Non-BB friends of mine call me AGD without having the least idea why. It's the ties, and the music, that bind.

But affectionately known as Andrew, here. Plus, that fits your pic/avatar better. Smiley

The Brianista Prayer

Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.
Amen.  ---hypehat
