Since I know a number of people have wanted to hear this, I decided to upload it as a companion to the Vocals-Only Demo Version.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r2mP_jEH3w

The new additions are the backing vcocals (Roll All Around, Dig A Hole In The Ground and Popped All The Buttons Right Off OF My Shirt) from the Demo. If anypne can use this to isolate them, it would be greatly appreciated.

Final point, this isn't actually 100% Vinyl - from 'I threw Away' I used the CD version, as my single gotslightly sharp and distorted later on - I can't notice it!

Way to include the inferior mix of the song on the Joe Public CD, guys. Sounds really nice, should've been the disc 1 mix, although the placement of "buttons right off my shirt" is interesting/possibly not the best choice. imo.

Also, thank you much Smiley

I don't have a turntable (yet...) so I haven't heard the 45 edit with the box, so I appreciate your taking the time to do this.  I certainly couldn't tell there was any kind of edit either, so fantastic work!

Good job, thanks!  Grin On a slightly unrelated note, I think it's kind of cool how the wistling fades nicely into the last verse "ballad" section.

i wish that "roll all around dig a hole in the ground" made it in.  one of my favorite things.  i really don't understand why it isn't on the CD.

i hope they use it for the studio release  Grin

You mean the bit of piano that was merely tacked onto the TSS version and not part of the original recording?

I like it too, the particularly the "run all around" bit, but it's not as if this is radically different from the Disc 1 version, just a few additional flourishes.  I still think that overall, the new Vega-Tables mix is one of the big triumphs of this set.

I think the idea for the 7" mix was to do a go-for-broke, "dream" edit of the song cramming every possible little bit in, authenticity or technical issues be damned.  And, it's really great, but I can see why they went with the slightly more conservative version for the "Joe Public" release.  I'm happy just having both versions handy.
