While on vacation in Iowa last week (which of course included catching Brian's show at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake), my brother told me he attended a gigantic wedding a few years back in Des Moines, in which the hired bands were Jan & Dean and the Beach Boys. It sounded like this was held in a huge circus-like tent at Prairie Meadows, the racetrack just north of town.

I can't find any details on the web about this gig...anyone here know about it?

Thanks!

I believe Dean was touring as "The Jan & Dean show" or something similar. Maybe that was meant.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Is there an up-to-date BB concert list--one that goes beyond AGD's list thru '99?

Doesn't the one on-site go all the way up to 2011?

What about Eric Anniversario's site?

Right now it's just going 'til 2009. But I guess he's going to update it some time
