Hi all,
I'm wondering if there have been any books written about music technology during the 60s. I'd really like to hear about things like experimental 60s instruments like the guitar organ or the moog, it seems like there was a lot of inventiveness going on. I was also hoping to hear about effects generation and different studio technology. Been poking around for a book like this for a while but haven't seen anything. I picked up Temples of Sound a while back but I was kind of underwhelmed by it.

Hi Fishmonk,
This is bit specialized perhaps but it makes a fascinating read, even for the technically challenged likes of me:

Joe Meek was a tormented genius, way way ahead of his time in many respects.
My two eurocents worth...
