After they opened with "Our Prayer" and segued into "Heroes and Villains," Brian stopped the procedures, because "the sound was not right." While people frantically changed mics etc.. Al Jardine quipped "So much for rehearsal, Brian." Scott and Darian Sahanjana seemed to get a kick out of all that. Then, the show continued.
I thought it was the prompter that was out of position at the top of the show. Either way, I got a kick out of it. Brian was quite animated through the whole show...

Outside of the usual 'holy crap that was amazing' comment, I'll state that I had the clicking as well.
Just for fun, I tried downloading what Vimeo marked as the 'original' QuickTime video and loading it up into Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere - and got the same thing. Since it's in video form, my hunch was that editing software might be a bit better at playback as opposed to streaming it. No dice.
It really sounds like digital clipping to my ears, despite the waveform not being crushed in the final output and no clipped samples being detected. Audition's 'declicker' got rid of most of it, but not all.

I have a cord for the 666 but haven't got around to getting myself one yet.
I have a perfectly working 666 mic but a dodgy semi-working cord, where you have the cord but not the mic. It seems we're on opposite sides of the equation here. I have a working 664, 644 and the associated cords. The 664 has occasionally seen use. The TV station I work at has local bands come in once a week, and our sound guy will sometimes scour the building for vintage mics depending on the need.

According to atroxi's link in the show-thread this concert was broadcasted on japanese TV. I guess the audio comes from that broadcast
...and believe me, I have scoured the internet (searching in English and Japanese) looking for even a clip from the show. I found quite a few Japanese blogs talking about it, and one that had some still photos taken of their TV set - but nothin'. If I can find the link again with the pics, I'll post it. edit: Also, there are sites with the concert for sale on a DVD-R and they claim it's the pro shot broadcast version.

If you look closely, Mike Love is wearing his "All Access" pass. This is the first time I've ever seen Mike wear any type of pass. I always assumed that security would know who he is.
I noticed that...didn't seem to make sense that he'd need it. Only odd thing I can think of specific to that show is he was running behind the rest of the band for some reason before the sound check. Perhaps that had something to do with it? ...or (more likely) it was just a touch of harmless facetiousness.

Here we are! With me cheesin' behind Brian, and Brian actually smiling! Still thinking about this moment! I'm getting an "invalid request" error from Facebook on that one. Here's me and my father from the same show... Half the fun is going through everyone else's pictures on there....

As promised, the 'cheat sheet' for the new lyrics. I got barked at by security in much the same tone I yell at my dog in when going for this. It may not be a setlist, nor is it like finding the lyric sheet to a classic - but I think it's a pretty cool keepsake. Did you do the front row package...or are you just lucky? Nice pics btw! I'll have mine up soon. Thanks! I did the VIP, 'cause every other attempt I've made to even get near the band has failed. Apparently I don't know the right people. There's an interesting story about how I got the VIP package which I'll relate once I get around to documenting the whole experience...
