Can anybody tell me the title of the bonus track from this CD which sounds exactly like the music to Little Deuce Coupe but with different lyrics that sound like they're singing "Mrs. Fabulous Kim, Number One In The West". This hidden track sounds like it could be a theme to a TV Show or something. It's only 35 seconds long (at the very end of the disc from Sundazed). Thanks.
It's a radio station jingle for KRTH, I would guess.

Actually there were 5 vols. - the last being an extensive discography.
59  Smiley Smile Stuff / Produced by or otherwise related to / Re: Disco Celebration on: January 16, 2014, 07:25:19 AM
Probably the worst in the BB-related catalogue - took me some years to track in down, after giving it a listen it immediately  went on my Lp shelf and I never listened to it again, sold it half a year ago to another BBnut (wonder if he listened to it more that once).
Can I ask, how much did you buy it for and how much did you sell it for?
Bought it for about  $18,  sold it for $18
60  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Rare 'White Label Pressing' of All Summer Long on Ebay on: January 01, 2014, 05:10:05 AM
Very nice item ( can anyone assist in its origin , I think it might be German ), I have bought a couple of LP's from this seller and have been in excellent/superb condition

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-BEACH-BOYS-ALL-SUMMER-LONG-Rare-White-Label-STEREO-Test-Pressing-/141153785875

It says in the description that it's German; is there some reason you doubt this?
At least the sleeve is, the "white" label looks a bit as if the original one has been removed - I've never seen such "White Label" German Capitol pressings
61  Smiley Smile Stuff / The Beach Boys Media / Re: Pet Sounds Magazines on: December 22, 2013, 06:44:09 AM
The scans bring back nice memories - I sold all the magazine stuff from my collection (ASM, ESQ, Friends of the BB, California Saga, BB Australia etc..) a couple of years ago

Also, I'm incredibly glad "Thank Him" has finally been released!
Pure early Brian - what a great ballad.

Things get less interesting for me from Muswell Hillbillies onwards.
Misfits is in my opinion the best of the later ones - anyone noticed the siminlaity of the guitar line in R'n'R Fantasy and The Night Was So Young???

In case you're interested, here's a little discography of Gary's output on 45 that I put together a couple of weeks ago. Additions and corrections are welcome. http://www.45cat.com/45_list_view_record.php?li=1392

An incomplete list I had kicking about [Pre-MIC]

Ganz Allien <--- (Was this officially released?)

Ganz Allein (Really Lonesome) wasn't officially released at the time it was recorded, but there were two official German 45s with it:
1. 1990 - with EMI's permission the German Fanclub "California Saga" issued a limited edition (1000) with "Land Ahoy" as the B-side (Capitol mms 6003A)
2. Aug 12, 1991 Capitol rereleased "I get around" b/w In My Room and Ganz Allein (Capitol 1 006-204477-7).

72  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Terry Melcher on: November 14, 2013, 10:21:24 AM
Terry Melcher invented folk rock..??  I would"nt go that far. Certainly he was there at the beginings of the genre ..Another record around the same time that has been mentioned is Sounds of Silence.. Iv "e  always  though Mcguinn"s  Folkie roots combined with Beatle music + Rickenbacker 12 string was a natural  accident.  I"d give much more credit to Mcguinn than Melcher..
I think he rather moulded Revere and The Raiders into a pop act than made The Byrds a folk-rock band
73  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Terry Melcher on: November 14, 2013, 09:15:35 AM
I picked up his first solo album recently - surprisingly good I thought and what an album cover  LOL . His second lp seems to be much harder to find though. Anyone heard it?
It has no Byrds involvement as the first one, but it's quite good as well- although many people find the mood on both albums too depressive
74  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Terry Melcher on: November 14, 2013, 07:57:54 AM
I put together a Terry Melcher 45 Productions discography. If you're interested look here  http://www.45cat.com/45_list_view_record.php?li=1350. Corrections and additions welcome.
75  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / General Music Discussion / Re: Curt Boettcher makes the New York Times on: September 25, 2013, 07:30:03 AM
I REALLY liked Crabby Appelton ..Ive never seen that on cd either.
Both Crabby Appleton albums were released on CD by Collector“s Choice in 2002.

For anyone interested in Michael Fennelly: Sundazed just released an intereresting collection called "Love Can Change Everything - Demos 1967-1972".

Any Millennium/Boettcher related stuff on there?
