Stebbins and I discussed the wedding a while ago, it's hilarious because Dennis and Karen fought the whole time and during such a "peaceful" ceremony. I was curious if Brian showed up, and he wasn't sure: his lack of prescense in the pcitures seemes to indicate the prognosis as negative.

So we all know how Brian Wilson was famously really into certain musicians, most obviously Spector but also Randy Newman and maybe Fleetwood Mac to comparatively lesser extents. Who were/are some musicians that famously had an infatuation with Brian's music and his mythos, and what if any was Brian's reaction? I've heard Roy Wood is such a fan of Brian's, although I'm not sure how true it is (rather, or if he's merely heavily influenced by him, if such a difference is appreciable) as I don't really know his music at all. Any others?
Seeing as Roy leapt at the chance to play with Brian when asked back in fall 1974, I'd say he's a big fan. I hear one James Dirk McQuickly has expressed a mild liking for Brian's music in the past. R. K. Dwight as well. Dirk had his name changed to Dirk James McQuickly in the 1970's. And what the fuuck is up with this censorship???!! Yeah - really juvenile, and it would have been nice to have been told, or even asked, first. The word 'moderator' doesn't, last time I looked, mean 'imposes unilaterally'. But it's fixed now. I'm with you Andrew, and it means more coming from you, admittedly not the world's biggest subscriber to the Beatles, although I do take it you quite enjoy Revolver?

The Glen Miller Orchestra still tours. Why not the BB when the day comes?
Ugh, with all due respect I personally don't think that's a good idea. You only have to look to The Drifters or the Coasters or one of those groups that tour in splinters now, with different members doing different things, to see how it destroys a group's credibility. A touring BB without any originals destroys, IMHO, the credibility of the group and is just a tarnish of the name. All of this boils down to opinion, but the Be-atles probably had it best when they agreed, I think when they were still formed, that they wouldn't reform without all four members present. In Hari's words: "We aren't going to get Dave Gilmour or Roger Waters and call ourselves the Be-atles."

I have a lot of respect for the Byrds, they've not one of my key faves but I always liked McGuinn and Crosby's voices especially. The early stuff and the Untitled album are favorites of mine. Funny, considering I really like Gram Parson's solo stuff, Sweetheart of the Rodeo (the Dylan covers excepted) is mostly a bore for me.
