Many tracks on Pacific Ocean Blue are dirge-like.

According to Bellagio, for my birth month (July 1972):

"Spring, an album by former Honeys Marilyn Wilson & Diane Rovell produced by Brian, Steve Desper & David Sandler, is released to critical acclaim and zero chart action."

Dude, I was also born in July 1972! (the 26th) Smiley

On the day I was born, the guys were in Holland, recording the album of the same name.

I think Brian's new choppers in early 2004 had a discernible effect on his vocals for BW Presents Smile.  My ears hear a distinct lisp in certain sections, as if he's just getting used to the new teeth.

The one and only Mick Jagger.

Boston - Walk On.

So much anticipation since it had been 8 years since Third Stage.  At this point in the game, all of the songs sounded the same.  The novelty of a wall of guitars processed through the Rockman had worn off, and they dumped Brad Delp for a new singer.

Two songs by America:

As a kid, when I heard Horse With No Name, I thought it was Neil Young. Also, when I heard Sister Golden Hair, I thought it was George Harrison.

I also thought Sister Golden Hair was done by George.

Murry telling Brian that he sold the rights to the Beach Boys songs during the making of Smiley Smile, but this didn't occur until 1969.

Side A: If I Fell

Side B: Sail on Sailor, Ringo on Lead Vocal

I watched it again last night and was once again struck by the line by Brian when he told Melinda about how Marilyn saved his life and acknowledged that he wasn't a very good husband and father.  I thought that was very respectful and complimentary to Marilyn.  I can totally see Brian saying that.  He is a such an honest person and a class act.  I wonder if Marilyn's seen the movie and what she thinks of it.

It kind of blows my mind that about half the voters have put Abbey Road in their top two. Maybe I'll have to listen to it some more. I never thought there to be much substance there. ("You Never Give Me Your Money" is great though.)

I think their most underrated album is Beatles For Sale. The covers are poor but the originals are awesome.

No doubt.

No Reply, I'm a Loser, Baby's in Black, I'll Follow the Sun, Eight Days a Week, and I Don't Want to Spoil the Party are great tracks.
300  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / General Music Discussion / Re: Rank the Beatles' Studio Albums on: September 14, 2015, 08:10:07 AM
13.  Yellow Submarine Soundtrack
12.  Beatles For Sale
11.  The White Album
10.  Please Please Me
09.  Let It Be
08.  Sgt. Pepper's
07.  With the Beatles
06.  A Hard Day's Night
05.  Help
04.  Rubber Soul
03.  Magical Mystery Tour
02.  Revolver
01.  Abbey Road

Wow, when I first read this, I didn't realize you were ranking them from lowest to highest.  I thought, "Yellow Submarine at the top, WTF"?"  Cheesy
