My guess, as long as there is an "original" member (I would include any of the C50 guys), there is a chance the Beach Boys name is used on tour. Once those members are retired or deceased, we will see tribute bands, many consisting of family members, touring band members, etc. I could see a scenario where the Beach Boys name is used in the title, kind of like what Al was doing before Mike squashed that.
The Four Freshman have been mentioned a few times, but are there any other bands that have no original members that are still touring?
Didn't The Drifters do it at one time?

I have to agree with you. Those Brian Wilson signatures on the uncut booklets all look bad. They also match the bogus Brian Wilson signatures that tuned up of some of the autographed C50 tour programs in the merchandise booth. And another one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/I-Am-Brian-Wilson-A-Memoir-SIGNED-by-Brian-Wilson-2016-NEW-/262728018767?hash=item3d2bcf6b4f:g:xj0AAOSwImRYGn9j A little more than a month after publication and they are still showing up on the secondary markets. The genies out of the bottle, these will continue to pop up. While were at it, this seller is claiming that 50 of these uncut TWGMTR cd booklets were sold via the Beach Boys official website. In my opinion, these are bogus Brian Wilson signatures with authentic Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks signatures: http://www.ebay.com/itm/322314075142?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I have to agree with you. Every one of those Brian Wilson signatures looks bad. They also match the bogus Brian Wilson signatures that tuned up some of the C50 autographed tour programs in the merchandise booth.

This type of "ghost signing" has happened before. At least some of the autographed C50 tour programs that were sold in the merchandise booths for $100 had fake or "ghost signed" Brian Wilson signatures. We also had an issue in 2013 at the Atlantic City meet and greet. When we bought the meet and greet package, we were promised an autograph from Brian, Al, and Dave. At the meet and greet, management refused to allow us to get our own items signed. Instead, they handed out presigned pictures on cheap computer paper. The signatures from Al and David were real, but the Brian Wilson signatures had almost certainly NOT been signed by Brian himself. Many of us complained and Brian's management eventually mailed out authentic autographed photos to those of us who had purchased the package.
If Brian doesn't feel like signing so many autographs, then his management should not be offering them for sale. It is fraud!
Yup, here's one of those photos up for bid on eBay. Whose to blame for that? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Beach-Boys-Brian-Wilson-Al-Jardine-David-Marks-Signed-Autographed-Picture-I-am-/272419712915?hash=item3f6d7aef93:g:mRsAAOSwLF1YB86s This is exactly what they gave us at the Atlantic City show. If I remember correctly, there was so much question about Brian's signature on these crappy photos that somebody submitted one for authentication to a very well know third party authenticator, and Brian's signature failed the authentication. It certainly looks suspicious to me and different than the 10 or so autographs that I've personally watched Brian sign over the years. If somebody asks a band member for a favor and the item comes back with a "ghost signature", it is not a good thing, but when a business, be it a promoter or whoever, actually sells you something that is suppose to include a hand signed autograph from a person and then delivers something else, it's fraud. How could a company who deals in authentic autographs not notice that all of the signatures were exactly the same and obviously not authentic? And who though that this would get by the public in the first place?

I'd be willing to bet, should scheduling along it, that Mike and / or Bruce show up at some point.
For a show that's very reliant on callbacks and nostalgia, it would only make sense to do a big callback to one of their most memorable episodes.
My prediction is that "Fuller House" doesn't last long enough to have Mike & Bruce or anybody else guest star on it. Seriously, it's truly horrific!

We are now living in a world where someone like John Stamos is being honored as a TV icon(one of the most overused words of the 21st century, along with "amazing"). It used to be real stars like Andy Griffith, Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke etc.. All the real talent is passing away, but we have to have awards shows so ,this is what we get. Full House, what a "iconic" classic.
I have to whole heartedly agree with you.

Well, disregard my last post about "losing my stuff"to Mike and Bruce from October. I had written it off since the only other time I had a success, the turnaround was less than a week. Again, I sent via one of their tour stops in early-October, received back today postmarked December 31, 2015 from Vail, CO. I was hoping the rest of the band would sign the promo photo, but now see their might not have been room to get the rest of the guys considering how dark the photo was, plus I didn't explicitly ask for any signature besides Mike and Bruce. Anyone else have success from Mike, Bruce or Al recently? Where exactly did you send the envelope to and how did you address it? It seems the guys are pretty good about signing, but I've wondered how to make sure the package actually gets delivered to them Way back in 1992, I mailed a request to the band in care of a small local performing arts center that they were playing, and they sent me an 8x10 photo hand signed by the 4 guys (Mike, Carl, Al, & Bruce). Carl also signed and inscribed the index card that I had sent with the request.

Thanks for the tip CenturyDeprived. I'll have to give that one a listen for sure. Like you say, the band certainly were able to take their own melodies and make use of them a few times over if required. With regards to the bridge section, I was actually wondering the same thing. When I first heard it it sort of reminded me of a Hall and Oates kind of melody and vocal delivery. Anyway, it's a shame that the song isn't included on "Best Of" collections.
Lonely Summer: Yes, Carl's songwriting was really something special.
Yes it was. I can't think of any Carl songs I don't like. I have to agree with you
