It really seems funny that none of the David Marks signature cards have turned up.  There have been no reported finds of any of these cards and there are no pictures to be found of them.  It's been confirmed that David did sign at least 70 of the cards, but where are they?  It is just chance that none have surfaced, or is Panini intentionaly withholding them?

Izzat you selling 4 autograph cards right now on de Bay?

No, I am a collector, not a dealer.  I have all four of the autographed cards and would really like to find one of Davids to complete a set.

It seems like it might run in the family.  Brian has had a lot of bad back problems in the last few years.

There still have been no signs anywhere of the David Marks autographed cards.  This seems kind of strange since there have been multiples of the other guys for sale on the secondary market.

Here is a picture of 4 of the autographed cards.  I'm still trying to find one of the David Marks signed cards.

If anybody finds one of the David Marks autographed cards, I'll gladly offer $150 for it.

I suspect that when the auction is over, Brian's will sell for a lot more than $114.

But of course, the card has not sold at this price.

Has anybody encountered one of the David Marks autographed cards?  I've managed to track down ones of Brian, Mike, Al, and Bruce.  But so far, I haven't seen any of the David's surface.
136  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Beach Boys Trading Cards !! on: November 10, 2013, 03:36:35 PM
I didn't get any autographed cards in my set, but I did get a card with a snippet of Brian Wilson's shirt in it, as well as one with David's. Still haven't found any retail cards on sale around here... yet.

It appears pretty random which Targets get them. I've checked four in my area, and two had them. So it may not even be a regional thing.

I'm also perplexed on the guitar picks. They come one per box instead of two, and I've bought almost a box worth and didn't get one. This makes me think the clothes swatches are more common than the picks. But there are a lot of picks on Ebay, and going for less than swatches.

This makes me wonder if either the retail packs made it to market before the hobby packs, or if mabey more retail packs were produced than hobby packs.

Bruce's current position tends to be looked down on, but seriously, he has been part of some amazing musical history.  From the little bit of time that I've spent with him over the years, it seems like he has a pretty darn good memory.  I'm sure he could write an amazing book if he wanted to.

I've picked up the autographed cards of Bruce and Brian so far.  A few of the Al Jardine autographed cards and at least one of Mike's have hit the secondary market.  I haven't seen any of the David Marks autographed cards surface yet.  The Brian Wilson autographed cards are limited to only 65, and the Bruce, Al, and Mike autographed cards are all limited to 70 each.
139  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Beach Boys Trading Cards !! on: November 07, 2013, 11:56:05 AM
I bought 2 Hobby Boxes and ended up with 5 Concert Gear cards.  There were 3 Al Jardines, 1 Mike Love, and 1 David Marks.  The signature cards seem to be very tough to find.

Going only by what's turning up on the secondary market, it looks like the guitar pick cards are much more common the than the Concert Gear cards.

The Bruce Johnston Commemorative Guitar Pick cards all have his name misspelled on the pick.  The picks all have "Bruce Johnson" printed on them.  It's hard to believe that they didn't catch this slip up.
142  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: All things Bruce Johnston on: October 13, 2013, 09:42:16 PM
This guy has like five mike autographs…did he ask for all of these autographs all at once? If so, I'd be afraid of being an annoying fan. It's a shame that Bruce thinks all his autograph requests are for eBay sales and not for fans (like myself)…I think that's kinda egotistical of him to think its "worth so much." Nothing against Bruce.

I've seen Mike sign multiple items for a person on more than one occasion.  Mike seems to like signing autographs, and I don't think he really worries about where they end up.

I checked out the moocher's EBAY page. The guy who was hounding Bruce for a quickie. Check this out - irony of ironies!

One thing you have to say about Mike, he's aways been great about signing autographs.  Honestly, Bruce has always been pretty good too.  I've seen Bruce sign autographs before a show, during a show, and after a show.  Most celebrities don't usually like people asking for an autograph just so they sell it.
144  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / FAKE Brian Wilson & Jeff Beck 2013 Guitar Picks??? on: October 01, 2013, 06:49:04 PM
There are a few Brian Wilson & Jeff Beck 2013 tour guitar picks turning up on the secondary market right now.  I was warned by somebody that these are all fake and that there are no legitamit Brian Wilson & Jeff Beck 2013 tour guitar picks.  Can anybody who has been to one of the recent shows answer this question for me?  Is Jeff Beck or anybody in Brian's band using a custom printed guitar pick that says "Brian Wilson & Jeff Beck 2013", or are they all using generic picks?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

If they release it to Blu Ray in 3D, I'm sure it will also be available in 2d as well.  Let's hope they do it right this time.

I can't imagine that this would do all that well as a full out theatre release, but I would expect it to sell well as a Blu Ray.

...

Do we really need to see a bunch of 70 year olds in 3-d?

If it's The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour, YES!

I believe he also mentioned "Unleash The Love" at the same time he mentioned "Masterpiece".  "Unleash The Love" was one track scheduled for his unreleased "Mike Love Not War" solo album in the mid 2000's.  I would guess that this is about all that was ever done with the tracks.

Didn't they try "Under The Boardwalk" from SIP as a single too?  I think that should make the list.
