 Getting back to the thread.........is there no word of the " On tour" live tracks being released in UK yet?

@Rocky R.--- they did it in UK in late 60s. I saw it , heard it....and was a bit disappointed as Bruce sounded thin on his lines.The rest of it was great, including what Bruce did-- but that critical line proved too thin.  IMO

And..........while writing about 1968 ---- there has still not been any release  in UK of the LIVE ON TOUR 1968 shows.  ( yrs, I know Spotify has them.....thats why I wd like to buy,  a couple of the concerts in particular are incredible

I bought in UK the sessions Wake the World....and I can hear music.

Live sets nowhere to be found EXCEPT Spotify. 

Must say, the sound quality is amazing, especially the Palladium and Finsbury Park. Feels like you are on stage with the band ( and those UK shows seem best IMO because the support musicans add such a lot and the BB sing sooooo well ).

Amy...ypu are right : have met him now around 8 times-- and the majority of those times , he exudes love and warmth. A very special person

I think this is the one they were filming for on UK tour last year. The intention of Brent Wilson, if fulfilled , is to give us the sense of being in Brian's company ---  which sounds to me , at least, a parallel approach to Brian's autobiography. Cannot wait !!!

Must admit, I bought the downloads of the half dozen ' regular' songs . Whilst the family sing okay, I prefer to hear the artiste themselves, not guests.  I find the trad songs are  well produced  but not distinctive arrangements.  My one and only quibble with the ones I bought , is that someone is screeching off-key on " Must be Christmas" and spoilt what could have been a great track.

Dont know if it helps, but Carl played tbe Rickenbacker as far as I can recollect on tv in UK in late Niv/ early December 64. I saw it at the time....and am fairly sure mention was made in music press of it being like the one in Hard Days Night

Usually, judging , say, a Youtube video or a mobile phone capture is unkind to the performer. But this is a well shot, close up clear film and records a song which does not merit the cost of filming. I have never seen ML struggle so. And , blind to the quality level drop it gives the act, when he is licensed to do HUNDREDS of well written tunes on which he used to excel.

I really like that song though....some word changes would make it a fine release, commercial sound to it.

In Edinburgh on Sunday, Brian was fully engaged and sang well. More importantly, he appeared happy and more mobile than recent times, although it was sensible to let him open...and remain, seated . He does get breathless on wordy or long lines of lyrics but that happens to many !

The demo was for Sarah Brightman I believe. She had an affair ( allegedly) with Andrew Lloyd Webber whom she later married. Anyway....if you listen to the lyrics, it is fairly clear she could not have sung those words ......... " when your man's not your own"

While my personal preference is and would be for Brian to spend weeks in a studio, just playing piano and singing lead vocals on anything and evrrything he likes, of course I must accept HIS preference to tour
