Transcribing a very bizarre quote from Carnie during this interview: ” Sgt. Pepper’s came out and then dad said, ‘I need to beat this record.’ Those were his words. So he wrote Pet Sounds and that’s where ‘Good Vibrations,’ ‘God Only Knows’ came in, ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ and ‘Don’t Worry Baby.’ And a really cute story is my dad would come home from the recording sessions of Pet Sounds and he would say to my mom, ‘I’m scared I’m not going to do as good as Sgt. Pepper. Mar, I don’t think I can do this as good.’ And she would say ‘Don’t worry baby, everything will be alright. Don’t worry baby.’ And then he wrote ‘Don’t Worry Baby.’” Inaccurate in several ways to say the least.

There's some question as to whether Disco Celebration was actually released, but that's much rarer then Celebration. It's also considerably worse than any LP you've ever heard.
Ahh you're all full of bunk. Of course it was released. I've got it. Took seemingly forever to find! It was on a small label, nobody wanted it and most of them that didn't get recycled are sitting in a warehouse somewhere( I think in Paraguay with the Honeys Box Set ) waiting for the REAL Disco resurgence. Not arguing it was pressed up and shrinkwrapped, but when I spoke with Ron last century he told me it never got past that stage and that all the albums were bought by a credit card company to give away as a freebie. Apparently they never did. Fascinating twist I just learned today: Apparently Disco Celebration was licensed for distribution in Mexico: https://www.discogs.com/Celebration-Disco-Celebration/release/11800744.

Here’s the announcement from aljardine.com:
Al Jardine's new single "Sunshine to Snowflakes," is a 60's flavored rockin’ tune that tells a unique Christmas story. Al is joined by his son, Matt, on gorgeous vocal harmonies and the song, penned by songwriter Deborah Arman Lent, was produced by Michael Lent, longtime guitarist for Barry Manilow. Come along for the ride as Al Jardine takes you on a West Coast to East Coast Christmas journey…sunshine to snowflakes!
