Or 10,000 Years ago - or whatever...
Co-written by Mike and Dennis? Initially pencilled in for 15 Big Ones? Possibly fiddled with around the time of Bambu/LA because there's a music track from that era? Mentioned again in connection to a possible Mike (or Mike and Al) album in 1980? Recorded by Mike (again?) in the late 90s/early 2000s?
What else do we know?

Has anyone got any great scans of the Light Album front and back that they'd care to post? Or does anyone have any links to any already posted on the net?
While I'm on the scrounge, does anyone have any pictures of the BB from this peiod - preferably all six of them?
Thanks in advance.

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: 'Do It Again' vs. 'It's OK' - Which Is Better?

Do It Again - by such a distance it's laughable. Mike and Brian didn't just come up with a nostalgic song for the good old days of youth - albeit probably not theirs - the nostalgic lyrics are undercut by music that emotes a sense of loss. Deceptively 'simple' but great song.
It's Okay has fairly sh*t lyrics and a fun feel. Maybe if you compared it to Keepin' the Summer Alive...

"I think Mike told Sean O'Hagan that all brits are fags. Which is definetly something you just shouldn't say to a person who's about to collaborate with you on a project, period, but I'd file it as another one of those 'jokes that bomb' that Mike loves to tell his audience."
To be honest, I suspected this was the case - undiplomatic humour.

If that's what was said. Remember Gaines going on about Dennis' fear of being raped by a black guy or the alleged homophobia of some band members towards Jack Rieley, yet they all seemed comfortbale with Curt Becher - and Christ knows, he can't have been the only gay they met in the entertainment industry. I've also read that it was Al, not Carl, who first admired Flame. Geez, who knows any more?

Great documentary. I loved the footage of Dennis in the studio but also that of David Marks and Stebbins and Marks and his mother. Is it in the Wouldn't It Be Nice documentary that Al says something along the lines of; "We didn't know how good Dennis was at the time"? Would've been nice to include that.
I wonder who was interviewed who didn't make it to the final cut?
Great job one and all.

Post Holland, I like the live album, some of 15 Big Ones, Love You, a little of MIU, half of LA, all of POB, most of BW88, BWPS and about half of TLOS - I'm not over fond of Mexican Girl, California Role and Goin' Home
