Hey Folks,

My wife and I saw Al's show last Sat evening in Seattle. It was a casino venue with maybe 500 to 750 seats that were 7/8 full. It was a fun and enjoyable evening. The line-up was Al, Matt, Carnie, Wendy, Probyn, Debby, Randall on bass, and Bobby on drums.  Alot of reminiscing of Brian by Carnie and Wendy from their childhoods.  No mention of Brian's current situation or of his recent loss of Melinda.

Not sure how many more of these I'll be able to see but I'm proud to have seen 37 BB/Brian/Al shows in my 68 years. I left with tears in my eyes.......

for this upcoming Feel Flows box set I certainly hope none of the original master stereo mixes that Stephen desper meticulously engineered under carl Wilson approval are tampered with in the least.  you cannot improve on perfection

I found objectionable the remastering of Our Sweet Love for the 2009 comp. CD Summer Love Songs, since the quiet little percussion shake that nicely closed that sunflower song (I'd become so accustomed to) was (for all intents and purposes) excised.  WHY!?  FOR WHAT PURPOSE SERVED!?

Are you saying the original mixes should never be remastered? Or that the raw multi-tracks should never be remixed?

I mean, pretty much every archival release we've seen has involved new mixes of vintage multi-tracks, or new remasters of old mixes. None of this is "tampering."

Multiple different engineers have remastered "Sunflower" and "Surf's Up" material over the years, and I haven't really heard a *bad* remaster of that material. Some might be slightly more preferable than others.

The original mixes of those albums aren't going anywhere; there are 10 different ways to get them right now. In the meantime, I think the material will sound great and interesting in fully remixed form; a remix doesn't erase the original mixes, and is just *another* way to hear the material.

HJ,

I was a faithful everyday reader of the FF thread for the first 105 pages or so.  Staying up late every evening with a glass of red to see what new comments were posted in the thread.  With laughter and smiles, I read the days 'reasons' why the FF is coming soon...vs why its being delayed.  My question to you is this if your able to answer.  Obviously the sale of BRI was in the works but I seem to recall you saying there were other reasons why the FF release was being delayed.  Could the current Desper e-mail release above also a reason why FF did not show in 2020.  Meaning legal/copyright stuff ??

And thanks to you for your PATIENCE those first 95 pages !

Unless a ‘final song’ can top ‘Summers Gone’,I’m just not interested. I stumbled on the 2012 C50 London version a few days ago and seeing Brian playing it smiling, missed lyrics and all, just can’t be topped.

That moment when Brian closes his eyes in sublime bliss is beautiful.

Pretty Funky.....THANK YOU big time for the link and your description.  You NAILED it !!!    My favorite post 70's Brian song

Joel G....you are so RIGHT ON with the Brian description....What a perfect way to say goodbye to the 2020 summer and the 97 pages of FF sh*tshow.   Not sure where the parties/principals go from here as it seems Brian and Al drew a line in the sand regarding the 60 yr album offer.  Probably back to the boring Branded BB's in 2021 and for all of us wanting just one more of something before this all ends after we get FF.

Lastly thank you to Hey Jude, Jon, and Howie along with any others in the know offering input over the past five months.  Long thread....yes    frustrating thread.....yes      But I'm damn glad I read every post of every page as it will hopefully make the final product of FF offering something we all love and appreciate

Thanks Ian...….takes me back to that 8/9/1976 summer evening in Dayton, Ohio.  Hitch-hiked from Oxford, Ohio to Dayton to see the show with a buddy.  Billy Joel was supposed to be the back-up...and who walks out...this group called Heart.  Their first album had been released and by far was the best received back-up band that I've ever seen at a Beach Boys concert.

I re-lived that evening at a Beach Boys meet-n-greet in Seattle the year Mike Love did his book tour.  Had a chance to spend a couple of minutes with Mike backstage prior to the show as we were waiting for pictures taken to be taken.  I asked him if he remembered the group that replaced Billy Joel on tour that evening in Dayton.  No hesitation as Mike said Heart.  He said Billy had gotten ill and they were able to pick up Heart for few shows to replace Billy.  I told him I distinctly remembered both he and Al hushed the crowd as the BB's were on stage preparing to play their first song and saying "folks you are going to hear about this group for a long time.

Thanks Ian.....great memories on a rainy Seattle day !!

For those who are interested as far as when and how Mike may have been booking "Mike and Bruce" shows for post-C50, it's worth noting that word first leaked around *June 15, 2012* of rumors of Mike booking South American dates for his band. My guess is these would have been the 10/26 and 10/28 shows in Chile and Argentina that were for some reason cancelled.

In any event, less than two months into the C50 tour, and over three months before it was over, word was breaking of rumors of Mike booking his own shows for later in the year (and one might guess that by the time those "rumors leaked", it was something that had occurred days if not weeks prior.) That doesn't smell like someone who has any intention or desire to "see how it goes" at that point and possibly continue the reunion.
HJ......I will never EVER forget the evening of June 13, 2012.  The family bought me the MeetnGreet/Soundcheck to the Cleveland show for C50.  Just weird stuff on the stage during soundcheck.  Mike actually delaying a soundcheck song as he took a call on his cell.  He walked to the corner of the stage with his back to everybody....who knows what was said.....then it all  ends with Al and Scott disagreeing about the end of Help Me Rhonda.   I'm just fascinated with pages 16 through 19 in this thread.  Three years later at Mike's book signing in Seattle, he was very poignant with the anti Joe Thomas verbiage "He's a pathological Liar" comment.   Kinda obvious to me that Mike probably did not want to do the tour in the first place but the almighty dollar forced his hand up front.  As stated in the thread, so many things went south early in the album process to walking out due to the auto-tone incident.  Life's just easier for Mike doing his M/B shows where's he's in charge.  Do I like the result...no but life isn't always what we want.....

Comps can be bizarre ... and then one done you stumble on one that is GOLD!

From day 1 I've considered the Starbucks compilation the gold standard of doing it right ...

Tracks
1   I Can Hear Music  Barry, Greenwich, Spector
2   Don't Worry Baby  Christian, Wilson
3   Sail on Sailor  Almer, Kennedy, Rieley, Wilson
4   God Only Knows  Asher, Wilson
       5   Surf's Up  Parks, Wilson
6   Wouldn't It Be Nice  Asher, Wilson
7   Friends  Jardine, Wilson, Wilson ...
8   Add Some Music to Your Day  Knott, Love, Wilson
9   Sloop John B  Traditional, Wilson
10   Cool, Cool Water  Love, Wilson
       11   Disney Girls (1957)  Johnston
       12   Good Vibrations  Love, Wilson
       13   Caroline No  Asher, Wilson
14   Do It Again  Love, Wilson
Tony W, I agree with you 100%.  The Starbucks presentation was the bomb !!!   After many moves I seem to have lost it, but I will NEVER forget Carl's beautiful voice on I Can Hear Music.
8  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Brian's next solo album (NPP followup) speculation and info thread on: March 14, 2018, 10:34:58 PM
I'm guessing one of the main reasons for conflict comes from the fact Mike had been his own boss for 14 years from 1998-2012, having not to answer to anyone except maybe BRI from a corporate oversight perspective.  Vibes I got that day was anger and consternation from many angles.  Obviously had a tiff with Joe where things came down much differently that had been decided at those initial meetings.  Then came the agreement after the Melinda incident where he walked out, where he ran the concert shows and JT/BW finished the album.  He mentioned repeatedly that the 73 were cast in stone and there was an agreed upon  "end" to the tour.

HJ, you mentioned  June 2012.  Funny, I was at a reunion show on 6/23/12 in Cleveland and I would say it was a very cold sound check that I saw as part of my meet n greet.  I posted previously that at the end of sound check, Scot held Al back to have him re-rehearse the ending to Help me Rhonda. Eventually saying to Al, this is how we do this now.   No talking between the principals at all during the sound check....zippo

I go back to one of the truest posts I've ever read on this board......We were so lucky to have them for 73 shows.....with the bands total dysfunctional history, who would have bet it would have lasted that long.

ok, I didn't mean to derail this thread.  Its when I saw all of you tossing Joe Thomas's name as potentially part of the new album, I did chuckle....
9  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Brian's next solo album (NPP followup) speculation and info thread on: March 13, 2018, 10:53:48 PM
HJ....The question asked Mike was about how the C50 tour got started from it's infancy.  Mike said there were a lot of meetings and was told  that he also could bring in material for the album.  I'm guessing his touring delayed his start and by the time he came on board for his initial sessions, it was apparent to him that Joe Thomas had basically decided on the majority of the C50 tracks.  Mike said he had initially met Joe back during the Stars and Stripes time period in the 90's.
Then came his phrase but this is when he said he had been lied to and JT was a pathological liar.  Guessing this made it easy for him to walk out on the reunion  when the tiff happened with Melinda during a recording session.....over auto tone wasn't it ??
10  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Brian's next solo album (NPP followup) speculation and info thread on: March 12, 2018, 08:12:24 PM
Hearing of Joe Thomas's possible involvement on a new BW album project makes me chuckle.  I harken back 18 months to seeing Mike Love in Seattle during his book tour.  He answered a question regarding Joe Thomas which I will never forget.   "He's a pathological liar"    Whew........
11  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Beach Boys 2018 Tour Thread on: March 11, 2018, 09:30:15 PM
I saw the band last night in Thousand Oaks, CA.  Quick background on me: Never saw the BBs in their heyday live, but have seen all different touring versions of BBs, BW and Al's bands since the late '80s.  Up until 2016, I could take or leave Mike's band.  I was happy that he continued to tour and bring the music to so many fans, but (especially compared to Brian's band) I thought the concerts themselves were quite forgettable.  I would still see them when I could (for me hearing this music live performed by ANYONE is a treat), but never left eager to see them again.  That all changed in 2016 when I saw Mike and his band at this same venue in Thousand Oaks.  The band was tight, the harmonies were killer, the setlist had some unexpected deep cuts and the vibe was excellent.  It felt like Mike and Co. had upped their game.  Still a very different concert experience than seeing Brian and his band, but awesome in its own way.  Seeing Jeff taking some great leads, along with Scott and Brian E to me felt like the spirit of what the Beach Boys music is and can be moving forward. I was unable to make their show last year at same venue, but was thrilled to see them again last night.  It was, however, quite a letdown.

Highlights-
Christian Love performed the whole set with the band and sounded fantastic on God Only Knows and Good Vibrations.  I wish he would've sung more leads.
Bruce's falsetto at the end of Fun Fun Fun was quite impressive and he wasn't doubled by anyone else.  He also had a couple of other great stand out falsetto vocal moments.
Scott sounded lovely on Betsy, and his lead playing is top notch.
Jeff sounded great on Darlin'.

Lowlights-
Backing vocals- I'm not sure what is going on, but Jeff selectively sings falsetto now.  Sometimes someone else is on top of the stack, but other times it's just empty (or the sound mixer is asleep at the wheel, which is quite possible based on how terrible the mix was last night).  When Jeff did sing falsetto, it sounded pretty weak (though he sounded great full voice on Darlin').  A friend saw them in October last year and Jeff didn't sing at all, so I wonder if he is having voice issues.
Mike's schtick- which had toned way down the last time I saw them-- last night felt like we were back to the circus with all the dumb tired jokes and banter
Hearing so many songs from Mike's album- they are just terrible.
Stamos- He played most of show with them.  I don't mind him on 4th guitar, but when he drums instead of Cowsill, everything falls flat.  He has no sense of meter and is more concerned about twirling a drum stick in between tom hits than keeping solid time.
Do It Again- I already mentioned Mike's album cuts, but this gets its own mention. Just...no.  Please.  Play the real version.  No one in the crowd knows or cares who Mark McGrath is.  Some people around me were quite confused.
No Brian E- Nothing against Randall who is great, but Brian's vocals on I Can Hear Music and Then I Kissed Her in 2016 elevated the whole show.  His absence is felt, even though during his entire run with band, his vocals were criminally underutilized.
The theremin substitute sounds on Good Vibrations-  Horrendous.  Sounded like a child's toy.  Clearly a choice to make it sound like this instead of what I've heard previously.  Inexplicable.  I hope someone posts a video online.
THE SOUND MIX- was the worst I've heard at a BB related show.  Ever.
The videos played during about half the songs are of teenagers in bikinis, with no sense of irony.  It's pretty icky.

Just back from a three week trip and catching up.  I saw DC310 post and it did make me chuckle.  About three hours after he posted, I saw the matinee show of Mike and the band in Palm Desert.  Though in a classy venue (McCallum Hall), it was a typical boring show (ala casino) as NO ONE stood up for the entire show until the Fun Fun Fun encore.  Here's my thoughts and observations....

1.  I was in the balcony but the sound was awful.  I was about 40 feet from the sound guy and wanted to go over and ask "are you listening??"   Granted I'm always up front whether its a Brian or Mike show but this was awful.  In particular Bruce's mic was way off....during his Wendy solo, I thought he was going to break his neck with the violent turns to his stage right with his hands outstretched and tehn suddenly his voiced appears 10x louder.

2. My sense is Mike is doing a little less heavy lifting.  With JF doing his Darlin and Don't Worry Baby, Bruce doing Wendy, Christian did God Only Knows and Good Vibrations, and ST did his songs, my sense was Mike did a bit less than when I last saw him in Seattle in last year.  And they also had a second show to do later that evening so some of this makes sense.

3. Thankfully no Stamos !!

4. I was reading this blog but not posting on my trip.  I had read where there was speculation that Jeff was doing less falsetto due to voice issues.  Kirsch did it all from my vantage point.  Did Jeff double up with him at times....maybe some.   Earlier on this page, those in the know thought Randell was only back temporarily.  Just not sure what the plan is going forward.

5.  Everyone here on SmileySmile has their own opinion, but I feel Brian Eichelberger was a HUGE addition to this band.  I had a few PM's with a person in the group who felt the EXACT same way.  BE could do some falsetto but also handle his own level in the stack. I feel he will be sorely missed as the reviews.  Think about it everyone.....BE leaves and Mike adds 2 guys back to the group.  Something is now missing IMO.

6.  Christian voice is a lot like his dad's.  During his solo's (especially God Only Knows), his lower notes are very strong and he strains a bit as he goes up.  I guess it just tells us how good and beautiful Carl truly was singing this song.

7.  DC310 hit the head of the nail perfectly.  For the most part, the videos are horrendous....This McGrath guy obviously wants to be the next Stamos personality associated with the band.  Even the grey hairs all around were asking who this guy was......all kinda sad really.

8.  I've always thought Mike truly didn't care for Dennis but they sing "Do You Wanna Dance" with Dennis' voice.  Basically substituting Carl's old God Only Knows lead (to Christian) and then does a Dennis voice-over.....Just seemed really strange to me.

9.  Again DC310 nails it.  God these new remakes are just AWFUL.  Do It Again is bad, but wait till you hear Sloop John B.  Either the sound was so way off it was unintelligible....OR....this remake has just butchered more ways than one a true Beach Boys classic.

10.   Noted no Jacquelyn Love dancing with her husband to Surfer Girl.....Maybe Palm Desert being close to Tahoe, she may have gone home which would be understandable to take some time off the road.

Yes I went....The tickets were free.  Given to me in the Men's Grill at a golf club 2 hours prior to the show.  After seeing what I felt was a great show  in Nov 2016....This was a true downer.....the remakes.....the sound issues.....no energy in the venue.....oh well....concert 39 is history !!
12  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Mike Love - Unleash the Love - Due November 17 - w/ 2nd Disc of BB Remakes on: February 18, 2018, 10:13:26 PM
HJ     great post (again).....I am focusing on your last two points.....

"Mike Love as a solo artist...Obviously should replace Apparently...or he did not shop around....because.....there was NO ONE to shop around to....

last paragraph.....Alas, why did Mike do all the remake/re-recordings (with the labels blessing) of all the Beach Boy favs last year......EAXACTLY...to shop these new songs for commercials for the revenue flow into eternity.  Mike's not stupid.....

So....I say.....Brian....go back and re-record these songs over the top of Mikes.  Make your own re-recording of Getcha Back .etc... and go ahead and use your name "Brain Wilson" pushing for the revenue flow and lets see who wins this battle.

I will admit I've had a few too many glasses of Chardonnay this evening but HJ's post really set me off.....Mike is becoming cagier as he sees his touring life coming to a close and he wants to keep the revenue flow for "his Love" family.....not the Wilson family....

So going forward after these guys are done touring.....Mike and Brian both "may" have revenue streams from actions they can take now......what about Carl's heirs and Al  from the point of view of BRI HuhHuh?

Deep down, my gut thinks Carl's sons have been able to make life easier for themselves current day (and I don't begrudge them one bit) post 1998, however with the supposed decision of backing Mike with the BB's naming rights.....down the road, revenue will drop off appreciably for both Carl's heirs and Al when the touring stops.....and then what.......Someone out there fill in what happens down the road ten years from now......

And HJ......great thought provoking post...and one last glass of Chard !!!

Hey Jude....TOUCHE.....probably the best retorts I've READ on this blog, as to  the decline of the BW/JB Tour.  Who knows what went on behind the scenes but I'll never forget these Beck fans (with their JB albums to be signed) in total disbelief at the Akron Ohio concert when Jeff decided not to show up for the meet and greet.  So 3 years later in Seattle, the same young lady running the meet n greet in Akron  is running the Meet n Greet  in Seattle.  So I ask her, do you remember JB not showing up for the Meet n Greet  in Akron when JB decided not to show.   She laughed saying that was my WORST  night  EVER working for this tour. !!!!    Anyway.......this split was ugly behind the scenes, though that concert in Akron ended up being fantastic.  Professionals  are able to gloss over the issues and perform, which eventually led to JB playing Surf's Up (solo)...not much better in the BB cover world than this !!!!!!!!!  (even with BW 25 feet away doing the backing vocals)     ....Just maybe one of the best BB-ish concerts I've ever seen....

I tried to ask in one of the other threads if there was anyone that could capture it, because indeed the usual online tools to archive video from these sites did not work.

I figured it would be taken down pretty quickly. I thought it would have been a good tool to study Mike's current lineup. What I was able to watch was interesting and informative. As I mentioned in the other thread, I was surprised how low-energy the band was. Not surprising considering they do weeks of shows with barely a day off. It was one of my first extended chances to hear a non-YouTube-audience quality video of Eichenberger singing, and I was surprised how bland it sounded.
Any idea what venue the show was at HJ ?....guessing if it was an outdoor fair show, one can/could come away with that impression.  I will say I heard Mike's group last year in a smaller concert hall venue in Seattle and I felt that BE was the blend that has made the current group somewhat more comparable to listening to BW band in the same venue.  I guess what I'm saying is Scott has been given much more to work with having BE in the group.

Brian will be touring as long as physically possible, because that's where the money is these days.

That's of course true, but it's not as if he's toured heavily every year. There have been some off years with very few dates (e.g. 2006, 2014, etc.). So there's more factors than just churning the shows out for money. Otherwise he'd be playing the Cleveland Rib Cook-Off every year like Mike.
HJ you do make me chuckle.  Been dealing with aging parent issues (in their 90's) so I've been off the board for about a month and I am catching up on my  SS reading.  I still remember standing on asphalt on a August high humidity 95 degree day in Cleveland at the Rib cook-off (circa 98-ish) watching Mike and a band of no one I recognized blasting out BB oldies.  Not enough beer in Cleveburg to cool you down !!!

Well, sometimes it truly is being at the right place at the right time.  I live in Seattle having relocated from Cleveland back in 2014.  We have/had an old gent living next door. Over 70 and was VERY quiet and kept to himself.  A lot of other strange stuff observed over these 3 years.  Sadly he had a severe stroke 8 months ago and will spend the rest of his time in a rehab facility.  So......He has no friends or family and his realtor is now in charge of his affairs.  The guy has been hording for 50 years.  An estate company is now charged with disposing of all the stuff.....Bought my wife a set of Spaan cookware with the original receipts in the original boxes from 1982 !!  So lets get to the  8-track/tapes/cd collection/album !!

I helped the ladies carry the heavy stuff into and out of the house for the last month .  They had 5 rather large boxes of tapes and cds they sold to a Vegas corporation that makes markets in this stuff.  I say to them...."Any Beach Boys stuff" ?   The lady just laughed....anything from the 50's/60's/70's  from Les Paul to Little Richard to yes our favorite band.  The pointed me into the garage      15 boxes of albums....Now the guy did make one mistake as he pulled off the plastic wrapping, but all jacket covers are in PRISTINE shape.  I walked away with the following......

       1.   (3) Carl and the Passions  "So Tough" albums, and
       2.   BB's California Girls Double Play with BB's All Summer Long as the 2nd album
       3.   Best of BB's
       4.   Best of the BB's Vol 2.
       5.   Very Best of BB's Anthology  1963-1969
       6.   The BB's Fun Fun Fun Fun Double Play with Dance Dance Dance  as the 2nd album
       7.   Wild Honey
       8.   Friends
       9.   Endless Summer
     10.   15 Big Ones
     11.   Love You..........and for our friends across the pond
     12.   Stones   Let it Bleed

Folks, the ladies gave these to me for FREE for helping them out over the past month.  Now I get with the cellophane off, the collector value isn't what it could be but just having these in my possession makes my day !!    Any today is the "8-track" day.  I will post what I find

Got back from my Seattle trip, tried to look for a boardie here who asked me in PM if i was attending the show, nothing, but got to meet amazing people, from young hipsters to parents, which the later were very excited about by enjoyment of the show, i got lot of compliments over my "passion" during the performance, i guess i was very expressif during the songs haha!

What can i say, i was on a cloud! number one on my bucketlist, a dream come true

Sad Darian is mussin', but still, the most surreal experience, spiritual, takes the album to a wole other level, very technical, i love how they push the harmonies in it and extend some outros of songs, setlist was great, was surprised Night Was So Young was already dropped of already Sad but it's a win-win cause Wake & Add Some came back, add that to Feel Flows, which surprised many people i talked too (funny enough, while introducing that song Blondie said it was from So Tough, then realized he confused it while exchanging some words with some band members just said to correct himself "Surf's Up", leaving people to believe they'll play the song !!! i was in shock for seconds, before realizing he meant the album title hahaha)

Ziggy,  so sorry we didn't get to meet.  I actually had a severe 48hr bug and I missed the show.  My daughter and her husband were the crazies in the 5th row on the aisle.  Glad you enjoyed the show.  Dang, I wanted to hear Pet Sounds live 1 more time before my time comes !!

Nothing i can add much more than i guess what everyone that attends these tours don't already know, just that i was bummed out byt he merch: some okay sutff, but the coolest thing was by far the boomer jacket picking from the Pet Sounds colors, but 90 dollars??? if anyone knows where i can find that on the internet or wants to get ride of it, i'll be very interested

Also i got to meet the percussionist dude, sorry forgot the name at top of my head, the guy with the long blonde hair! he came out in the audience after the show was done and people were leaving, and he was rockin' a Smithereens shirt to wich i complimented him to, only to realized he only came by to say hi to some people from the audience he seemed to already know, so i let him be by just shooking his hand saying how amazing the show was.

Anyone notice Al's dig at the end of Come Go With Me ??   After introducing and crediting Ritchie Canata for his fine sax work at the end of the song.  He says  "And we finally have a sax player"    Dig towards Mike ?    It just caught my ear and made me think what happened over the next 5 to 10 years from 93 to 05.   Any other instances where any heard digs like this between members on stage ?

Don't mean to derail this thread       Great production and great clarity       Hope the eyes in the sky leave this alone

This is a great thread....I said on a thread a couple of years ago, I saw first hand how the many versions of Rhonda in concert caused issues the evening of the Cleveland stop of C50  mid June 2012.   As a birthday gift, my wife bought us Meet and Greet for the show.  During the sound check, at the end,  they specifically did Rhonda, which I thought was weird.  At the end of the song Al and Scott T. got into a bit of a rift over what Al did the previous evening in Cincy and Scott wanted to get it straighten it out for that evenings show.

It hurt watching Scott say "Al, this is how we do it now".  Scott walks off, Al puts down his guitar, slowly turns towards the 3 rows of fans, puts his arms out at length, shakes his head and slowly walks off. I can see where Al could have been in a groove/habit of doing old rifts where MB now maybe plays a different "version" where Al just wasn't up on...who knows.  I'm not up on the exact musical differences between all the versions but I can see in the C50 make-up of the band, old habits were probably very hard to break for some of the guys, including Brian and his bandmates.  Remember, Scott T. was the musical director for the tour and Mike in charge of the set-list.

For many of us, this was the day "the music died".....

Thank you Captain, my error.  And I certainly hope to see and hear Darian again when Brian's band restarts the tour.

Was it the Costa Mesa show or one of the others cited by Ian above,  that Brian wore the black leather pants on stage ??
