Next will be special guests Right Said Fred
I'm surprised Mike hasn't worked that song into his setlists: Mike: "I'm too sexy for my hat, too sexy for my hat..." Bruce: "I'm too sexy for my shorts, too sexy for my shorts..." Mike: "I'm too sexy for my rings, too sexy for my rings..." Bruce: "I'm too sexy for my mic stand, too sexy for my mic stand..." Crowd: Hey Craig, I'm fairly sure that's me doing the thumbs down but I can't remember where it was! I think Smile Brian will back me up on this.

It's just a testament to the incredible music this band released for many years that even with the current Beach Boys being presented in fairgrounds throughout the United States they are still held in such high regard to this day. A timeless band.
That said I love Mike and he has earned the right to do and say whatever he wants
Yeah, that irresponsible comment said, it appears that Mike Love has been doing that for at least 2 decades now and that is why we have the negative comments we do here, Twitter, the Hoffman Board, Youtube, and all the rest of the sites on the internet. There's never beena more hated individual as Mike Love is. He's all mouth against Brian and Dennis until he's interviewed and even then, he downgrades their relevance just to make himself look good but it backfires in his ugly, botox ridden fake face. The music may be timeless but Mike love stopped being looked on as necessary 3 decades ago. What a drip.

Egh. That ain't The Beach Boys.
But in sadder news, is Foskett no longer touring with them at all? I assume he's been at home dealing with the cancer? Does anybody know how he's doin'?
You're right Jim, this ain't the Beach Boys in any way, shape or form. The Beach Boys were over with after Dennis and Carl were no longer with us and when Mike Love in his infinite wisdom fired Al Jardine after that. The collection of mostly unknown sidemen in that picture are not and will never be The Beach Boys and goes to prove that having a license to call yourself that name means absolutely nothing. Thanks to that douchebag Mike Love, there's little left of the legacy that was and by the time he's done, who knows what will be left.

His page says portions will be donated to charity.
I personally don't have an issue w/ Mike joining Cameo. I think it's a great platform and can bring a lot of happiness to people.
So he's donating next to nothing of hardly anything to charity - I withdraw my criticism. Look I get the point that Mike might be spreading some joy, but seriously, how many people are going to use this? and what is a 'portion' usually when that word is used it's a small portion. Hey now, his "viral Super Bowl" song made tens of dollars for Covid charity (probably even enough to buy part of an N95 mask for a healthcare worker), I'm sure this will be another slam dunk, giving aid to the countless children who go bed without TM every night. Good one Rab!

Hi guys! Is there a new member board somewhere? I'm actually nts1drums on the Endless Harmony Board.
Now, as for the slump, OSD, did you look at the San Miguel board? I personally thought that that was interesting.
San Miguel Board?? Huh?

It's still very active on here when we actually have news
Right. That Endless Harmony board is far busier but not in a good way in that there some really bland threads that have no interest, at least to me. Just a heaping amount mundane crap that most of us know anyway. The threads here are mostly interesting but there have been a few duds which happen everywhere. Besides that, I like the mods here as opposed to the Gestapo in EH land.

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Most important Beach Boys members in vocal blends?

While there was probably more to it like talent and personality, I never thought that Bruce was the right one to replace Brian on the road. His vocals sounded unusually tinny and weak and didn't resonate well with the others. When he sang both on tracks and live it was always easy to identify as Bruce and not an integral part of the blend. I would have liked to have seen Flo and Eddie, who's harmony was akin to the boys, join the group. They could have handled Brian's parts and after Carl passed pick up his parts as well. I think both of those guys who ended up with Zappa would have complimented the boys vocals both on record and the stage as well far better than Bruce.

Yeah birthday shurmfday, you clown. Think, where the eff do you think you'd be right now if it wasn't for the guy you've made a career of tearing down? It wouldn't be pretty and you would have never seen the kind of life you lead, the house you live in, your portfolio, the skads of unearned money you've raked in. Hardest working Beach Boy?? I think not because you live, eat and breathe being on the road and on the stage. Without that you're stone cold dead so I don't want to hear that it's some kind of really hard "work"! Your managers do everything for you so all you have to do is walk on stage and be the clown you so rightfully are. Nope, no birthday greetings for you Mike because you're the most hated, embarrassing clown the world of rock and roll has ever witnessed.
That you’ve posted a comedically deranged screed twice (once here, once at the Steve Hoffman forums, where you’re being laughed at) shows that you are a deeply unpleasant person. I’ve seen your posts and either you have a massive hard-on for Mike Love that you can’t admit to yourself, or you’re a psychopath that the cops need to keep an eye on. No, Conspiracy, no cops needed. I trust they've got better things to do and besides, they know they've got you to watch me.

I regrettably attended one of these shows and I thought the boys played a decent show. The place pared down to about half of it's capacity was half empty. What was strange was that the maharishi came on after the boys and people immediately left leaving the dude with just a handful to talk to. I felt fairly embarrassed for the group and had to wonder what the hell they were thinking. Looking back now I'm confident that this was the hairbrained idea of none other than Mike Love and ended up costing the band millions and degrading their image which is still going on today. I'm just thankful that Brian wasn't part of this charade.

This is going back a bit, but does anyone remember Al doing a song that starts off with or is titled "Down South In San Diego" or something close to that?? Whatever it was or is, it doesn't appear in any form on YT. From what I remember, it was an incredibly good song with an amazing hook.
That's an Alan Boyd (not Jardine) song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1PBw2xjCfsThanks, Wirestone!!. Great to hear it again. Could have been a great BB album track had they expanded and finished it. Didn't realize Boyd had such a great voice.
