Yeah, let's have a full blown documentary on Carl's lung and brain cancer episodes complete with a  step by step breakdown of how he rapidly declined during his last days on earth. Inquiring minds want to know for sure. How about doctor visits and MRI's? How about his bouts with chemo therapy-we need to know all about that and his increasing need for oxygen. And why not a section on how his family dealt with the crisis-maybe some interviews and some good old pictures. My God, do we need to go there? Really? 

Don't forget Pink Floyd fans. You want factions? The pro-Waters and pro-Gilmour crowds butt heads like you wouldn't believe.

I used to go on a few PF sites in the late 90s, but haven't in a long time.  Of course, back then, Rick was still alive and The Division Bell was only a few years old, so there was still hope that Pink Floyd would carry on in some form.  I think Rick Wright's death put a stop to that.

   Chances are that he would have gotten his "due" or the acclaim he thinks he's always been denied if he had stayed at the gas station. I mean  like he could have worked his way up to assistant manager by now.

I got a Ticketmaster alert today - Brian is doing a concert on Friday 11/13 at the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, MI.  Tix go on sale Friday 8/21 at 10 am Eastern time.

From what I understand, automobiles, lawn tractors and drones are disqualified as are any myKe luHv solo albums. 

Maybe Mike should wear a bird's nest on the top of his head too.

I just love this album ..!!!  I was against the young pups being guest on this album..But I was wrong..!! Great stuff here.. Nate Reuss on Saturday nite I like especially.. Brian still has his special gifts intact.. The background harmonies are  OUTSTANDING.... Having Al in the band makes it more special.. Another home run for Brian Wilson. And the concert on June 20th at greek theatre was unbelievable..!!! Lots of new songs and deep cuts was a fan"s DREAM..!!  That show rated as high as Pet Sounds and Smile and TLOS tours.. Brian and band were that good..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some real misunderstandings of the early 70's era going on here.

This was the era of glam rock, when stars like David Bowie and Lou Reed proclaimed their homosexuality in interviews, when Bowie mimed performing fellatio on his guitarist as a routine part of his stage act,when even straight rockers implied that they were gay and wore mascara and dresses. And yes when even Mike Love, in imitation of Jagger, queened his way across the stage. Homosexuality was hip.

Excellent points made. Reed and Bowie could easily pull it off, but myKe luHv trying to emulate Jagger only succeeded in making himself look like an obnoxious wannabe and also tarnished the group's image.
