Hey c'mon everyone...this is not a release but a little christmas gift by uncle Mike, so what's the point in all that criticism? Imagine yourself giving away a christmas present and having to hear what a piece of bullshit it is from everybody. Remember what xmas is all about?

Just found this on youtube. It's a tribute by the scottish singer/songwriter Chris Rainbow. Chris Rainbow (Birth name is Chris Harley, born in Glasgow UK Nov. 18, 1946.) "Dear Brian" was simply "A Tribute song to Brian". Chris is a Scottish singer/songwriter much influenced by the Beach Boys.Chris sang lead for "The Alan Parsons Project". In 1974, he had embarked on a solo career. "Looking Over My Shoulder" and "Home of the Brave" were his first albums. Five singles followed: "Living in the World Today," "All Night," "Mr. Man," "Give Me What I Cry For," and "Solid State Brain."The music is very nice and there are lots of rare pics of Brian to be seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YMQZhuqSAw

I LOVE this album!!! There are one or two moments that aren't pure perfection - My Janine somes immediately to mind - so it's not a 5, but it's a rock-solid 4, and let me just add that if Brian were to tour THIS album, i would be at every single show. It is sheer beauty...and the perfect Sunday morning album, too! I'll be there too!!!

I like this album very much. they sound great. I like the "In Concert" better though, because that swings and rocks like this doesn't. But "Darlin'" "God only knows" and to a big part "Good vibrations" (cut out Mike's "dearly beloved") are probably the best bbs-live-versions of these songs. The rare ones sound very good too. I just wonder why the hell they cut the intro to "California girls" . How can anybody do that ?!?!
C'mon, In concert and this one are diifferent leagues, 69 is much more mature and I hate all the screaming on in concert

My first one ever! Bought it back in 1975 because I liked Barbara Ann which was the only BBs song I knew back then. The album turned me into a fanatic and I got everything I could get hold of eversince. What a grat compilation! A Clear 5. BTW I love the cover!
