Have any of you guys ever made "deluxe editions" of the band's records using stuff from your collections? I've been doing it myself as a hobby for several years.

They might give someone else pause and possibly a reason to choose to be offended; for example, someone who'd hallucinate that people who dislike or even hate something Brian did musically translates to hatred for the man himself. My reply remains the same as it has many times over when I've been asked about my assumed ignorance of why something I say is "offensive" - if one chooses to be offended at what I've said, well, I find myself in the curious position between merely not giving a damn and apathy. One can expend the energy to choose to be offended or one can put on his big boy pants and move on with life. The sooner more of us do the latter, the better, I'd say!

Not everyone is going to like the same stuff or have the same appreciation for it. Calling someone's fandom into question or claiming said individual hates the creator is ridiculous. Then again, Brian's the one with the success and acclaim...while people feel the need to defend the man from opinions. It's bloody ridiculous.

Criticizing the music is one thing. Criticizing Brian, Melinda, or people around them personally is quite another. However, considering a criticism of any of the music equal to criticism of the people involved personally or even hatred for them is kind of a reach.

KDS shouldn't even have felt like he needed to make that his signature. If one was going to criticize Brian as a person, why hide it in criticisms of the music?
