I understand that Brian probably doesn't want to spend hours over several days signing these books, but if that is the case, then you don't offer up these deals. Period. End of story.
I couldn't agree more. I'd be happier if I was told "Brian cannot fulfill the request" instead of sending out some phony "signed" books and then lose trust in Brian's management. They screwed up big time and I truly hope this gets back to whoever thought this was acceptable.

If you purchased a signed copy of Brian's book from Premiere Collectibles, there is a chance it may not be an actual autograph from Brian. While some of the books from PC appear to be unique and authentic autographs, there's a batch of them that are exactly identical and must have been stamped or auto-penned.
Premiere Collectibles is trying to sort this all out and are allowing returns and will refund the full price. They will email you a pre-paid shipping label in order to return the books.
The signatures are noticeably smaller than Brian's usual autograph, and the marker is extremely thick and bold. The photo I included is the signature to look out for. Many people have the exact same one in their books. If you bought a signed book from Premiere Collectibles and it looks just like this, initiate a return and get your money back.
Wow, this is a really big deal. How did you learn about this? Did you purchase a book via Premiere Collectibles? I did purchase one from them. I noticed when I was on eBay and saw that someone was selling a book with a signature just like mine. I asked around and found out that other people had received the same autograph. I posted on Premiere Collectible's facebook page and made sure they were aware of it. Other folks chimed in with photos of their books and they all looked the same. While Brian's management supposedly said that they were each signed by Brian, Premiere agreed with us that they were not.

I went to the Pitchfork show last night. I knew it would be a condensed set, but I was surprised when they came out and jumped right into Pet Sounds. The band was solid but you could tell Brian was tired.
As a younger fan, it was nice to be at a BW show surrounded by fans closer to my age. Many knew the album well and sang along the whole time, even the instrumental lines (ex: intro to You Still Believe In Me).
Overall a fun show to be at, though I look forward to the indoor shows I am attending in the fall. It was fun seeing John Cusack hanging out along the side of the stage the whole night.

Considering Mike's reaction during the 1989 "Campfire Sessions" when Brian mentions the LBWL album, I'm a little bit surprised Mike signed!
Seriously, I'm sure Mike would sign most anything, as most of the guys would.
There's an interesting side question. Any stories out there of refusals to sign? Not counting VIP staff telling you not to bring stuff, etc. But actual face-to-face refusals?
Yes. I met Bruce two years ago and he refused to sign for anyone. I met him a couple weeks ago in Rockford and he signed all four things I had for him. For Bruce it totally depends on the day. He's strangely afraid of people selling his autographs even though things signed by him are hardly worth any more than if they weren't signed.

The listing is a trainwreck of red flag warning signs. Seller with feedback score of "1", and seller rating of only 67% (two positives and one negative, ever), horrible pictures, few total pictures, unclear and arguably incorrect description (Brian is the only still living member? It has the signature of every member "ever existing in the band? So Blondie, Ricky, and Dave signed it too?) It's also not a very attractive signed piece as signed pieces go. Faded, thin ballpoint pen, etc. The signatures look good to me too, even with the inexperienced seller.

I just have to get this out...throughout this whole $#!tstorm, what's been going through my mind has been: Please, dear God, tell me Probyn and Darian aren't douchebags, too.
Darian and Probyn are a couple of the nicest guys I have ever met.

The Mrs. heard a "Muzak" version of "Surf's Up" at the local Mariano's last wek.
Anybody familiar with that version and can name the artist? I work at a Metro Market in Milwaukee (modeled after Mariano's and owned by Bob Mariano) and they only play muzak over the speakers. I have heard Warmth Of The Sun and Surfer Girl, but I'm sure they play more that I've missed. I've also heard Junk (by Paul McCartney), Mother Nature's Son, When I'm Sixty Four, and many, many, other horrible instrumentals.
