I hope he comes to Minneapolis. I think this time I am going to break down and do the Meet and Greet.
I'm not sure if he's going to do more meet and greets - the last couple shows I've gone to haven't had the option (Minneapolis Christmas show, Surf's Up Milwaukee show) There was a meet and greet at the Minneapolis Christmas show, but it seems they ended them sometime this year.

I was at the Appleton, WI show a couple weeks ago as well! I met Mike before the show and he signed a couple of my albums. Bruce refused to sign them and said "I have to get to work" and ran off.
I have met Bruce on a few occasions and you never know what you'll get with him. He can be the nicest guy in the world one day and then downright rude the next.
Al is overall a nice guy, but some people have noted that he's a bit crankier these days than what he used to be. This touring schedule has to be wearing down on those guys. Met him in Milwaukee after the show last month and he was nice.
At best, I'd say I had a decent encounter with Blondie. I waited after the show in Nashville to have him signed my Carl and The Passions and he just ignored me. A couple weeks later in Chicago he did sign something for me, but he doesn't seem very interested to meet fans unless they're in the meet and greet.

Were they very strict about no signing? Almost unbelievable that you can't even get one thing signed for $500...
At least at the show I was at, there was no way you would be able to get anything signed via the meet and greet. The woman who manages the whole VIP thing is right in front of you taking pictures, and she said multiple times there won't be any signing. I wish they stuck to the two personal items thing that they used the last leg of the tour. That's a real bummer. I've often advocated that the $500 price tag for these meet & greets were reasonable due to the value of the ticket and the value of the items you could get signed. Not anymore. I assume the book was pre-signed? Any chance we could see a photo? After the debacle with Premiere Collectibles, I would be hesitant of anything "signed" by Brian that I didn't personally witness... https://ibb.co/fHPirF < There's a picture of the book I got with the package. Yes it was pre-signed, so I'm not going to trust that it's authentic. I honestly didn't think it was even close to being worth it. The meet and greet felt like people said it was during C50, enough time for a quick handshake and picture before you got rushed out. The whole thing was finished in 10 minutes, so it's not like they had to stop doing signing due to time. There's a picture of it if you follow the link above. Definitely physically signed. Yep, looks good to me. Interesting that they had him sign in silver marker on that page instead of the usual title page.

Marty, those are some beautiful pieces! Some of the best I have seen, actually. I have had good luck with meeting Mike, Al, Bruce, Blondie, Ricky, and David outside of venues. I avoid meet and greets because I can't afford them. I also don't really buy fully signed pieces a lot because I love getting the autographs myself. It means a lot more to me if I got the autographs myself than if I were to just buy them. Unfortunately, I was only a couple years old when Carl passed away. I truly wish I could have met him.
Mr. Desper, that Sunflower is amazing! I have never seen a Sunflower signed by Carl. One of my favorite Beach Boys albums, too!

I've always heard that Carl was nice and signed, but I am having the hardest time coming across his autographs online. I've probably spent the last year or so constantly looking on a certain auction site and there has been very little to come up. Either they were priced too high or they weren't legitimate.
Posting on here was actually one of my last efforts to see if anyone has anything signed by him. I can understand how hard it is to give up an autograph, I have plenty of things I wouldn't give up in my collection. Like I mentioned in my initial post, my intentions are to add the remaining members and in essence get them as complete as they can be.

I am looking to buy things signed by Carl Wilson. Beach Boys related photos, picture sleeves, albums covers, a piece of paper, etc. Anything I can have living members sign!
I can offer money or do trades. I am a younger collector and would love to add a couple more things signed by Carl to my collection. You can post them in this thread or shoot me a message!
If for some reason this kind of post isn't allowed, my apologies! Thanks!

A friend showed me some signed posters they were selling at the recent BW San Diego show and they looked good. If I was there, I probably would have bought one.
There were signed posters specifically for the two San Francisco shows I saw too and those looked correct and legit as well. Whoops, I meant San Fransisco!
