I haven't listened to a lot of Double albums.

I also own The Beatles' Rock and Roll Music double LP compilation on vinyl.

It's Beautiful Day. Too cheesy and commercial. Why the votes for Barnyard Blues? Barnyard Blues is my favourite.

Agree about the demo's merits, but let's not allow alternate versions or demos or we will never get to the finals!

Most alternate versions/demos haven't seen official release but this one has. Besides, I think it's substantial enough to warrant inclusion, it's really different from the A/C version and it's definitely the track I'd chase all the way to the end.

It'll never be included. The 2 earlier versions of Back Home weren't included as well as the Be With Me demo, California Feelin' demo, Do It Again demo etc. More exclusions include some Lei'd In Hawaii tracks (Help You Rhonda, California Girls), alternate versions (Break Away, Good Vibes, Til' I Die) and single versions (Be True To Your School).

It's not hard. 

Made In California has stack-o-vocals of Slip On Through, This Whole World and Our Sweet Love (OSL has strings as well). It also has instrumentals of Had To Phone Ya, Don't Go Near The Water, Transcendental Meditation. It also has a track of instrumental Good Vibrations sections.

The SMiLE Sessions has an 8 minute track of background vocals from the album.

I know there's many acapellas and instrumentals on Hawthorne and possibly Endless Harmony.

Okay, so a proper Dennis song never won. At least a song with a full Dennis vocal would be great!

Not to mention how this song blows everything else off this album!

You're forgetting about the next odd's and ends. He has Barnyard Blues and My Love Lives On in the round.

I just listened to the whole Good Vibrations disc from start to finish. He definitely wanted to make it perfect!!!

Some of these have probably already been said.

Interesting album concept. Definitely not for the casual fan. I never realized how much Little Honda rocks! I reckon the track listing is pretty good. The only I would change would be Catch A Wave. I would put there instead Surfin' USA, I Get Around or All Summer Long.

Great fun little lp. No bad tracks. That bass is pumping.

The results are what they are. Yes, some of us are disappointed. Let's move on.

You should have all the 2nd place songs in it.

A better idea would be with all the songs that were voted off first (Except with Shut Down Volume II, All Summer Long, and Today!)

I reckon 2nd place songs would be more reasonable. TM Song, Here Comes The Night and Mama Says don't really need another chance to try and win. How about Beach Boys Escaper. We take the bottom song from each round. We then vote off our favourite song of the bunch until we find the worst Beach Boys song.

Am I misunderstanding, or did you just contradict yourself? You say 2nd place songs are the better idea, then go on to say that last place songs are a better idea...?

They're separate ideas. I thought that the worst songs would be a fun idea to see which song Smiley Smilers hate the most.

Good Timin' sounds like a paint-by-number song. Yea, it has some great harmonies but it doesn't have the beauty and emotion of Baby Blue. I am disappointed too.
