Did anyone else notice that the 3 finalists were also the 3 Holland tracks included on Made In California?

Now to listen to these 3 albums in full on Spotify...

Holland version. The lyrics just don't suit the 4/4 version. They should've written a new song using that backing track.

Let Us Go On This Way. Great rocker. That bass is rocking. Carl vocal is great.
Others are amazing though.

I'm curious to what will go first in the L.A. (Light Album) survivor. Here Comes The Night, Sumahama or Shortenin' Bread.

Sumahama. SUMAHAMA.

S.U.M.A.H.A.M.A.

No other option off that album is more appropriate for the first one to go than Sumahama!

Just sayin', that round hasn't begun yet!  Smiley

I was thinking that Carl and the Passions and Holland could probably work well as a double album.

Carl & The Passions originally was a double album. Razz

It's a shame that an album with God Only Knows, Wouldn't It Be Nice and Caroline, No doesn't get the respect it deserves around here.

Found this at a local record fair for $10. Songs from my favourite period of the Beach Boys. 5 without a doubt.

Nice order but I'd would keep Cuddle Up on there.

4.5 rounded up to 5. Mike's robot was ok but very nasal. Sounds like they're having lots of fun. The DON'T PANIC sign is funny.

I truly have never been more proud of Smiley Smilers--like Pixletwin I thought another track would win, so glad to see The Trader on top!

You are allowed to say Sail On Sailor.

The right song won!
149  Smiley Smile Stuff / Polls / Re: Twofer polls #2: Sunflower vs Surf's Up on: March 20, 2014, 12:56:45 AM
Sunflower is my favorite, no one was left out  Grin

What about Al? He only sings a couple of lines on Add Some Music,
Yeah but he also co-writes It's About Time (brilliant) and At My Window (also brilliant). Does anyone know what Al's exact contribution was to the former? I've always assumed it was to add that awesome guitar riff at the end but I could be wrong...
Even though he wrote some of the songs it just doesn't feel like Al's there. They should've added Back Home or Susie Cincinnati.

Hard Times is awesome (except for the first 2 seconds).
Carry Me Home is bit strange. I need to listen to it more.

Hmm... I love the first two seconds of Hard Times. Guess things really are subjective around here  Cheesy

Yeah, agreed with Carry Me Home. It's only just starting to (and slowly) growing on me. Would love to see an updated tracklisting of the double album of yours with the three songs and possibly:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7p0lpuPeoe0 Out In The Country
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le0_YoktZjY It's A New Day
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_YPbvFpB4U Barnyard Blues

Now that would make for an awesome definitive Chaplin-Fataar era double album!

Imagine if they recorded It's A New Day for Wild Honey! That would be the best.
Barnyard Blues is from 1974 so I wouldn't include it. It's A New Day doesn't really fit the mood of the album. Out In The Country isn't finished.
