Her part in one of the BBoys docu's where she plays "California Girls" and "Good Vibrations" on her bass reminds me of Ray Charles talking. She has sunglasses on and is bobbing her head and seems very happy.

"That's Not Me" is one of the stand out tracks on Pet Sounds for me. Mainly because the instrumentation is kept much simpler than the other songs. It doesn't stick out like a sore thumb or anything but it's nice to know that they all played together for that one song.

The city I live in now is mostly white people. I looked up the race statistics online and for my neighborhood it was 99.99% white. Where I used to live in North Jersey it was a very mixed area. Incase you have forgotten, Brian's goal in making SMiLE was to create a white spiritual sound. He recognized the force of "black" music arising in his time and wanted to make the white spiritual sound.

Before going to shows the audience should have their hands chopped off. I've never heard a single performance from anyone where the audience clapped in time with the song. Don't they know how annoying that is to the band playing? It's like having a shitty metronome.

It's not sad to hear that he has died. He must have had a miserable last few decades. No friends, hardly any family. He just stayed to himself for 30 years. When he did go out some prick would have a video camera taping him.
