Ian nails it... as always !! I prefer some of the mixes off Aerial Pandemonium Ballet. If you're not talkin' vinyl, get the Eruo-2-fer that has both Pandemonium Shadow Show & Aerial Ballet PLUS Aerial Pandemonium Ballet. Then you win 3 times!!

Alright. It's agreed that this is not the best example of a BB's album. I can't believe no one has ripped 'Pitter Patter' apart. The other day I listened to this song like 10 times in a row! For a later Beach Boys track, it's got their imprint/stamp all over it! Amazing song. Super fantastic harmonies. More upbeat than most of the songs in their catalog at this point. Songs about rain have a tendancy to be fun and playful in their lyrics anyway. I'd have to put it high in my best of the 70's chart listing. Songs from Sunflower & Surfs Up prevent it from charting higher. I love, love, love this song.

LY always sounds to me like the guys were slacking off with a contractual obligation album. I really tried to like this one.
Yeah. I feel the same way. I feel it's got this 'let's get it over with' kind of attitude. My opinion's already known. And I don't 'hate' it. Hate is a pretty strong word. I just don't think it's as good as everyone wants to believe that it is. Peace brotha's & sista's. I don't be hatin'.

I'm a fan of KTSA and I'm not ashamed to admit it! That's right. Preach on E! And you don't like Love You? Wow. That is strange, ain't it. There's only 2 of us who like KTSA better than Love You. We're throwing a KTSA summit party next Friday. You're all invited, but I'm guessing we'll be the only 2 there. More beer for me!

Not necessarily in this order- Rio Grande Thank You (there's not a better one that's from deeper in that man's heart- 'crazy beatings by my father'- terribly sad. WOW.) Don't Let Her Know She's An Angel (too many synths on Sweet Insanity, the flute kills the GIOMH version, but amazing song!) Lay Down Burden (again, too many synths & programming) One For the Boys

Here's the extent of my Diamond stuff- The Uni LP featuring Caroline & Brother Love's, Hot August Night, Tap Root Manuscript, Moods, Stones, Serenade, Gold 2LP... a few hits CD's. That's it. I'd like more- but time & lack of loot prevent that. What else to get?? I think you have a pretty good handle on my taste?!

OK. Honestly. From my heart, really. I'd like to have someone here who feels up to the task, write up a review (while listening to this album, as I did) and support each track and give it's weaknesses & strengths. Someone who really thinks this release is the work of art that 95% of BB's fans believe it really is. Someone who has a personal attachment to it. I don't see it and I want some rationale. Who's game? Ian? Luther? Jason? Donald? Make it shine! I might even reciprocate with a glowing review of KTSA!
