Its a  shame really. Though have to disagree with NateRuvin in one part - in the couple shows that I've seen him, his keyboard has been audible in all of them. He just doesn't play it much.

Overrated: Pet Sounds
Underrated: Summer In Paradise

Have I missed something, did they really play Ding Dang in a soundcheck!? That's super cool!

Happy birthday Bruce. I met him last month, and he seemed very nice and friendly guy. And so much talent (Disney Girls, wow!)

That's great! What a surprise. I like everything about it.

Oh f***. This is really dissappointing.

Happy birthday and thanks for all the music. Can't wait to see you in London this autumn!
84  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: Sorry, liberals, Scandinavian countries aren't utopias on: June 14, 2015, 03:22:16 PM
Well, coming from someone that knows Scandinavia quite well, being from Finland (which isn't part of Scandinavia, but is pretty close as you can get...) I'd say that this is a good place to live. It's definetely not the best place on earth. I hate how short the summer is here. I don't like most people. They are overall negative and dull. Of course this doesn't apply to all of them, but it's pretty general in many European countries. In the other hand they(/we) are very open and warm towards tourists. Somehow communication with people of same nationality seems to be more or less a problem. If it'd be my free choise, I'd live in Britain or USA, just because I enjoy a lot more the positiveness and friendliness people have towards each other there (and this all comes from my own experience).

I don't know how accurate those murder/crime statistics are. Here in Finland people always talk about the crazy America, and the violence happening there. Policemen shooting people, school shootings, serial killers, etc... Most of homicides and violent crimes in general that happen here, happen when two drunkards fight with each other. Though depression is VERY common here. And it's a big problem. Our school system and people in general put a huge pressure on people to succeed, and a lot of people don't. It's not easy to make a living here (but is it anywhere?). Long winters without sun doesn't help either with the depression thing.

I'd highly suggest anyone to come visit here on vacation, or in Sweden/Norway. Most people talk english and the nature in these countries is really amazing and it's everywhere. And the biggest cities are just the right size, not too big, not too small. And here's a lot of things to see.

Am I the only person who thinks KTSA isn't actually that bad ?
KTSA is awesome, with the exception of Endless Harmony, which is propably the worst song the BB ever recorded plus When Girls Get Together which is irritating as hell. But especially the title track, Some of Your Love, Living With a Heartache, Sunshine and Goin' On are all standout tracks.

Did Dennis perform "Roller Skating Child" with the group whenever it was played live? I know that during that time period Dennis would refuse to take part in certain songs when they were performed.
Which songs did he refuse to play and why? Wasn't Heroes and Villains one of them?

And here's one important thing I've been wondering. Did Dennis put something to his hair, or was it always natural? He had the best hair like ever, why did he cut it short in the 80's?

What a night. Wow.

But such a shame this board has turned into little kids playground (of NEGATIVITY). No need to write more about the concert.

Have you been to the beach lately, SIP Mike? I've been waiting your informative posts so eagerly, but you must've been busy at the beach.

Seriously, I'd love to hear them play Somewhere Near Japan, Strange Things Happen, Slow Summer Dancing and why not even Summer In Paradise.
90  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Unpopular Beach Boys opinions on: May 24, 2015, 01:24:04 AM
Sloop John B is the kind of song that works live very well, but I'd rather listen to Hey Little Tomboy on record. It just doesn't do anything for me.

Student Demonstration Time is a pretty good song.

Barbara Ann is irritating, but again, it works live very well.

15 Big Ones is one of the best Beach Boys albums and Brian's vocals were best during 75-80.

I thought everyone loves Al!
93  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Mike n Bruce VIP question on: May 20, 2015, 01:59:44 AM
Well, I have VIP ticket to the first London show. In the first london show in Royal Albert Hall the "better" seat belongs to the VIP package, but in the second show you have to buy both seperately. So I guess it depends on when and where your show is?
94  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: One good album of the 2nd half of the 70s: on: May 14, 2015, 03:28:13 AM
But they're all good (meaning the 70's albums)!
95  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: So Mike has been stockpiling his songs... on: May 13, 2015, 02:35:30 AM
Too Cruel, Anything For You and 10,000 Years are all superb tracks, if only they were produced better than the Mike Love Not War-versions. Too Cruel and Anything For You have both some hit-potential, at least in my opinion. But it's a whole another thing who's interested about anything a nearly 80 years old man releases.
96  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Mike and Bruce Tour 2015 on: May 12, 2015, 12:30:06 AM
I think it's just crazy to sit when there's a rock band playing in front of you. I just don't get it. Luckily the only time I've seen Beach Boys live, was in Wembley arena in 2012, the audience was really into it and sat only during couple songs. I remember people sitting down first time during Disney Girls.
97  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Mike and Bruce Tour 2015 on: May 11, 2015, 03:51:50 AM
I know it's been asked before too, but who's going to see the RAH-gigs? Have you got your tickets yet on mail? It's not many weeks away anymore and I've received anything yet.
98  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Soundtrack on: April 23, 2015, 12:53:32 AM
I assume that because of Atticus Ross' involvement, we'll get something later on. People will want to hear that stuff, even the ones who aren't Beach Boys fans. It would be crazy not to release it in some form.
99  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Most embarrassing dodged bullets of The Beach Boys' career? on: April 20, 2015, 12:19:21 PM
How about when they were considering changing their name to just "Beach"? All things considered, likely would have had disasterous results.

"Beach" more embarrassing than "the Beach Boys"? Don't think so...

Those who have seen it, is there any reference to Carl and Dennis in the Cusack-part of the film?
