I got through the first 4 pages of this thread, and was very pleased to notice that the most talked about thing was my question: what's your favorite pizza. I find it amusing, that Brian Wilson comes here and answers a good bunch of great questions, a lot of people whine that he also told us his favorite pizza. What's the problem people, why some of you are so uptight?
I tried to come up with some mastermind question for Brian for the whole week. Thought about it every second. But when the last moments came, I realized that there's really not that much questions I'd really ask him, 'cause I don't know him, but in the other hand in some weird way I do know him. I knew he wouldn't answer questions like: what's the meaning of life, how do you really feel down deep about Dennis' death or where do I find cocaine, etc... Then I got the idea. Brian loves food, especially steaks. So I started wonder wether he likes pizza or not. I love pizza, it's my favorite food. So that's what I wanted, and could ask him. And I got to tell you, I'm extremely happy that he answered it. Got to be one of the best things ever happened to me.
Plus I'm very happy about the questions you others came up with also, found out very interesting stuff, thanks ya'll folks and Brian!

Sometimes it hits me how sad and low it is that Mike is touring as "The Beach Boys" while Brian, Alan and David are all standing and performing. So sad.
There's much to be sad about in the world, especially if you are a glass half empty type, but Mike and Bruce touring as The Beach Boys hardly warrants any hand-wringing on our part. In my opinion Mike as the licence holder would likely be in neglect of his duty if he did not actively pursue bookings. The fact is that all three, Brian, Al and David wanted to stay and tour under the Beach Boys name, but Mike said no. That's just pathetic and sad. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't go to see Mike's show if he'd come to my country.

Why did Brian give a big FU to Dave by bringing him in and then burying him in Beck? I bet that is why Dave is giving a big FU to Brian by playing some dates with Mike.
Yea! I bet Mike gives FU to Brian by making billions by touring and singing songs Brian wrote. Same time he gives FU to Dennis and laughs every night thinking about him. Brian gives FU to Mike by singing California Girls and claiming in some old tv-clip that he wrote the lyrics. Plus he has three hot ladies on his new record, which pisses Mike off, 'cause he's the Lovester. Dave gives FUs to everyone, except Al, who gives FU to Mike but not to Brian because he has done that enough in the past. Bruce gives FU to Obama because he has more money than Bruce. Bruce gives also FU to members of this board, 'cause nobody wanted to take a bath with him.

Next experiment. We know that "Isn't It Time" was a last-minute addition to the album, recorded with all the guys together. Now, listen to that. Notice how the harmonies are ragged. Notice how you can hear several different voices throughout, and on the harmony parts. That strikes me as being a genuine group recording. And it sounds radically different from anything else on the record.
Ragged as the harmonies might have been (I don't hear it so much) "Isn't It Time" was the best thing about the TWGMTR album for me and Mike's doo-wops really made that a GREAT song. I wished they'd done a whole album with that style. That song is the classic BB's vocal sound! Yeah, Isn't It Time is a BB classic, just as much as the "life-suite" is. It should've been the lead single, as much as I love the title track, it's pretty dull and non-commercial.

It's true that Brian and Jeff cover most of the vocals. But "Think About the Days" and "The Private Life of Bill and Sue" definetely have the whole band, or at least I can hear Al and Bruce pretty clearly. And still, to me That's Why God Made the Radio is the closest thing to a sole group record they've come up with after 15 Big Ones, not composition wise, but the fact that they're all there together.

The Everybody Wants... lyrics are atrocious. There's nothing to 'get'. If there is, someone, please: explain. Stevie, on the other hand, is one of the top 3 or 4 best BB songs of the '80's Wish it'd been on MIC. (Did Brian object to it's inclusion I wonder, perhaps because of painful memories of when it was recorded, of Dennis, or problems with the subject matter?) A song doesn't have to be explained, it speaks for itself. Stevie has good lyrics, but in my opinion is a pretty dull composition.

Am I the only person here who actually likes Goin' To The Beach? Goin' To The Beach kicks ass. Plus that cigarette-part in Everybody Wants To Live is awesome. One of the best late-BB lyrics. If you don't get it, you just don't. It can't be explained.
