Great to see the Horse posting again at PSF. :=) Nice gif! I'm doing fine, and so is Horse I guess - he's posting again, and shouting. Sitting around watching College football, LSU vs. Florida Gators. A real nail biter. :03 left, and LSU needs a touchdown to win. They are on the one yard line... Bummer! Florida held them on fourth down for the win. That's the way it goes. Later tonight I get to see the Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Mississippi State. Hope The Razorbacks can win - they are, along with LSU and Alabama, my favorite College teams. Alabama looks unstoppable this year. We'll know for sure in early December. First, it's time to go have a hamburger with baked beans for dinner. Smells good in the kitchen. It's been a simple Saturday. Maybe some snow by midnight.

She also sang I'm So Young, There's No Other (Like My Baby), and Just Because. The reason i mention Just Because is John Lennon was a big fan of hers and he covered Just Because in the 70s at Phil's request. I assume he never heard Rosie's version which is too bad (apparently he wasnt that familiar with Price's version either). Of course, John recorded Angel Baby as well and Rosie loved it.
Lennon also loved the bizarre B-side of "Angel Baby". He kept telling Yoko that this is what it was all about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEGLkMf75aY See Jim Vincent's comment... One comment mentions he likes the finger pops. I was thinkin', no, that's the shape the record is in... vinyl's poppin'. Got some negative comments - I like it as much as the a-side.

If I were physically forced to confine my listening activities to one act, it would be the Boys, as a band and as solo artists. Other acts have repertoires that attract me----Beefheart/Magic Band, Zappa/Mothers, Fripp/King Crimson, Gary Numan, U2----but I really think nobody comes close to the sheer variety (also meaning variety in depth and quality) of that of The Beach Boys. Plenty, I would say, to get one's teeth into for the rest of one's years.
Do you agree? Or would you opt for another act? Or a composer perhaps?
Three I could not live without: Beach BoysBeatlesLaura NyroMy favorite composers? You mean instrumental tracks? That would be Brian Wilson and John Barry.

I don't want to vote off the last McCartney song, though it is the weakest of the remaining tracks. "Hold Me Tight" was by far his strongest track on the album.
I had hope "Don't Bother Me' would somehow make it to the finals. Other than that, this polling went the way I see it.
Turn your head, and you won't see me as I vote for one of the classic Lennon tracks: "Not A Second Time"

"Roll Up, Roll Up, Roll Up for the Mystery... We're going so fast I'm getting ahead of myself.
"Roll Over Beethoven" - This track always worked better as a live number. I think it's on every Byrds boot I own (that's many).
I like The Beatles version. Perfect for George's voice. It Rocked for a while, soon it will be gone like junk mail. Please Mister Postman, don't bother me with it. We've got better in the wings.
