What type of restaurant is it?
If you hate it but don't want to feel like a quitter, leave the place you are and work somewhere else to see for yourself if its you or your workplace. But if you don't like talking to people, hospitality might not be the right thing to do unless you're doing some cheffing.

Uh...you know it was Dennis who took WIBNTLA off the Surf's Up album, right? CARL pissed him off, not Mike..though it seems you think Love had something o do with it (he did not)...and, it is Dennis who sings the wonderful tag line on the end of "It's OK", so he must have liked it (more than Sail On Sailer, which he bailed out of) Personally, I think WIBNTLA is mediocure (and the MIC version mercifully cuts it back from the full version). He also was kicked out of The Beach Boys several times, so he got some distance-trouble was, Dennis was a manic drug addicted alcoholic. His disease is what took the life out of him. The one-octive croon his voice was reduced to was attributed to cociane, etc...
Have you heard the full version?

Considering you're a member of a music message board would you really consider yourself a part of the majority of people who attend concerts?
My information comes directly from musicians and business people involved in the music industry as their life's work. I do work on the side of my full time job with a fairly famous and very successful music producer, songwriter, sound engineer and DJ. She has said definitively that along with dwindling music sales in general, especially over the last 10 years with the popularization of torrenting music and file sharing, that CDs do not sell well at concerts. It's direct information.
Maybe I'm wrong though and mike loves awful music will sell extremely well at beach boys concerts. Its a wonderful business idea, so good I'm shocked he isn't doing it already! Did you enjoy such songs as "409", " I get around" or "Wendy"? Then you just HAVE to hear Mike Loves remake of the beach boys classic, Brian's Back. Now with 35% more cheese.

No one buys CDs anymore. Some inside info - even a band that can sell 30,000 tickets might only sell aroun 5 CDs
So, just proved yourself wrong. Five is five more than "no-one". I buy CDs. Guess I'm no-one... You're like a child in the way you point the most stupidly basic things out. For a band that can sell 30,000 tickets, 5CDs might as well be no sales at all - and as I said this is at live shows. Obviously people buy CDs but NOT at concerts.

Sell it at the merch stands at Mike and Bruce shows and it would sell thousands. Sincerely, I think it would easily sell thousands. If they do just one song from it in the live show it would get enough people curious that it would move many copies. Just my thoughts. I would welcome it. Scott Totten has told me that there are songs recorded at those sessions that haven't made it to the underground market yet.

Comment to WOODSTOCK:
Saturday morning I woke up rather depressed at all the news of the day and as usual checked with Smiley Smile. I pulled up your post and started listening to your latest and greatest. In a few moments, your symphony had woven a fabric of liberation, lifting me into what was like a serving line in a cafeteria of Beach Boy delectables, sampling this tidbit and that. All the flavors blending into a sonic gourmet treat transporting my listening on a trip into a world of magical harmonies and memories, all blending and fusing into one homogenous journey. So Good!
Having done these montages before, I appreciate how many hundreds of hours went into the creation. But upon hearing, it is most evident this was a labor of love. Thank you for sharing.
Good Listening, ~Stephen W. Desper
Thank you very much for the comment Stephen, that really means a lot to hear from you. There are three videos total in this series, here are the proper links to each: StG: https://vimeo.com/134018121Dumb Angels: https://vimeo.com/134540323Hawthorne Sunset: https://vimeo.com/133933750

Are you sure about that? How many times have people complained that Brian sits like a lump behind an inaudible keyboard. Go take a look on Hoffman's board and see how many believe just that.
Congratulations. You've just written one of the single dumbest posts I've read in the history of this board. Yes. I am sure about that, as someone who has attended at least 10 BW solo shows over the last 15 years. Since 2009, he has consistently played keyboards throughout his shows. Before that, he would play for at least a couple of highlighted numbers. In terms of how audible his playing is, he's part of the general mix. Sometimes, he stands out, sometimes he blends in. As most keyboard players would. And I have no idea what people on Hoffman's board have to do with anything. This has nothing to do with belief. It has to do with what Brian is actually doing, and what people are actually seeing. It's not opinion. It's not something that's fucking voted on. At the Seattle show brian made sure his piano was just as loud as Scott and darians, and during the show asked to be turned up. Not only does brian play piano, he wants to be heard.

Who cares? I think he should perform any way he sees fit. Bruce waves too much, Brian doesn't play enough, Al's guitar isn't high enough. Blondie's guitar playing is too loud and too jam-ish. Jesus F. Christ are we never happy?
No need to freak out, I thought this thread brought up some gold points. You don't need to jump into every thread to talk about how terrible the fan base for mentioning this of that.
