Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Beach Boys On Simpsons

So I was just watching the latest Simpsons episode and they started playing a 60's sounding song. The voice sounded familiar, but it was only till I heard the trademark Beach Boys harmony that I realized it was Mike Love singing. The song was Merry Christmas Baby from the Christmas album =O

We'll Run Away - He did quite the opposite I hear. Don't Hurt My Little Sister - what sister? Our Favourite Recording Session - well maybe it was true then, but I doubt it's true now Surf's Up - an intentional, blatant lie Sail Plane Song - It's about an airplane. It's in the first line... Everyone's in love With You - I was under the impression that at least John Lennon was pretty disillusioned
bonus: I Write the Songs - Unless you're Bruce then nope, you didn't write that one. And if you are Bruce that's still a lie.

Smile is the obvious choice - if it had been released more people would recognize them as one of (or even THE) greatest bands of all time, especially if Brian had continued progressing instead of regressing. But it'd also probably change everything and ruin the whole legend. So I'd have to go with scrapping Adult/Child - if the other Boys hadn't shown resistance to it not only would we be able to hear that amazing album in great quality but that'd be one less thing that made Brian forfeit the producer's chair again (and a follow up with some of the better songs from M.I.U. with better arrangements and maybe a more artistic thematic link than the Christmasey sound - since brian had done the sytnh sound on Love You and the big band sound on AC, would have been amazing). I'm not saying he wouldn't have needed Landy to step in again anyway, but we could have got a bit more out of the whole Brian's Back era I think.

Some of my favourite moments are: All of Girl's On The Beach (the harmonizing, Dennis' vocal, all of it) The entire second part of Surf's Up (from "Dove nested towers...") The humming and duh duh duhs on Little Pad That "I Break Down and Cry" Part from Walk On By that was mentioned... amazing The chorus backing vocals to Break Away ("Break break shake away break break away...") recently I've been obsessed with that part in Don't Go Near the Water where they sing the title twice in harmony (right before Al's "toothpaste and soap") Brian's vocals on Til I Die ("I lost my way Hey Hey Hey/It kills my soul Hey Hey Hey") Marylin's vocals on It's Over Now

Do you mean with different songs? If so, can we include those songs with Brian on them that aren't really Beach Boys songs (The Kenny and the Cadets ones)? Cuz then it'd be something like:
Surfin Safari County Fair Little Girl Chug-A-Lug Barbie 409 Surfin' Luau Heads I Win Tails You Lose Cindy, Oh Cindy Cuckoo Clock Land Ahoy
