So we have conformation here that the Beach Boys did "Long Promised Road" in 1983? I know Carl did the song at his solo gigs in 1981 and 1983, and I know that they had worked Carl's "What You Do To Me" into 1983 selists, and also that they had been doing a couple "Surf's Up" songs on that tour ("Lookin' at Tomorrow" and "Disney Girls"), but I didn't know they had ever worked "Long Promised Road" back into the Beach Boys' setlist in 1983.
It makes sense in this context, a 3-song "Surf's Up" mini-set. They also apparently did a three night stand at Pine Knob in 1983, so that would have given them a bit more leeway to change up the setlist (to the small degree they were willing to back in the 80s).
I sourced this from the Carl Wilson - Heart and Voice of an Angel Facebook page and it's credited from Micheal G. Bush. So it's possible. It does make sense though.

Seems like the release date for Mikes new book has (with no surprise) been pushed back. As always Amazon only have this to say for now; "Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date." *EDIT However, must only be the UK as the US says 13th Sept....

You know I'm wondering if Mike waited so long regarding the song writing credits was because he didn't want to ruin his relationship with Brian regarding the possibility of still writing together. Once Kokomo hit, Mike may have figured he didn't need Brian anymore, hence the lawsuit.
Maybe.

Smiley Smile Stuff / The Beach Boys Media / IMAGINE- A Beach Boy Tribute to A Beatle

On Oct. 9th, 2015 Al Jardine, original founding member of The Beach Boys and I, Larry Dvoskin, went to Central Park's IMAGINE plaque at Strawberry Fields to lead a crowd in singing John Lennon's classic IMAGINE. It was filmed as part of a UNICEF/UN charity project called "Every Voice Counts" which features ordinary people around the world singing IMAGINE, along with celebrities to spread peace and awareness. December 8, 2015 is the 35th anniversary of when Mr. Lennon was killed. This 'making of' preview video is to commemorate the mission of peace that Yoko and John devoted their lives toward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0t0mvJugvA
