I've always been a big fan of " TUSK ", it has so many different levels to it that make it an amazing album to me. I've also been a big fan of Lindsey's work outside of the band. His one solo release " Out Of The Cradle " is a hidden masterpiece of sound and creativity.
By "one solo release", I assume you mean that one in particular? Because it's hardly his only solo release...his first two ("Law And Order" and "Go Insane"), in particular, should be of interest to any Beach Boys fan, but there have been plenty more since then. Why yes that is what I meant, sorry my confusion.

Wembley Stadium 1975 opening for Elton John. Just to see if their performance really was that good that particular day.
I'm with you on this one. I have heard the recordings of it, and I would have loved seeing this show. I also wish I was older to have seen the first concert with the original members of both Chicago and The Boys. I saw them during the second time they toured together, it was good. But not seeing Terry, Peter, and Dennis on stage with the bands it was heartbreaking.

With specific pictures I've made two slideshows using the music of the guys. The first one I did I used " Kona Coast " and " Lahiana Aloha " with various pictures of Hawaii. For a slideshow I did for my Dad's Father's Day slideshow I used the version of " When I Grow Up ( To Be A Man ) " taken from the Good Vibrations Box Set. For the longest slideshow I did, I combined " Our Prayer " / " Cool, Cool Water " fading out with the end of " Wind Chimes " with the guys sounding like they are in an European church, I'm sure you've heard the ending before, and I fade out of the ocean flowing on to the beach. Sadly You Tube didn't post that one cause of it's length and the songs. If you want to see that one, you'll have to go to my Facebook page.

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / The Beach Boys On Tv

Back in the day when we used to watch TV, we had only four channels to chose from on the tube. UHF was like taking a chance, if you don't mind holding up two antenna poles wrapped in tin foil. By the time cable got to our little town in Metro Detroit, it was a blessing. So here is my question for everyone. Over the years I've noticed that in those early days it seems like either NBC or ABC used to really show off the band. When we got cable it seemed like either HBO or Showtime would air something about the band. I faintly remember watching the uncut version of " An American Band " on Cinemax. What channels and specials or shows had the guys on the most? I want to say off hand within the past 20 years or so it seems like ABC has the most appreciation for them. Thank you for your time to read my post and I look forward to your responses.

To me sometimes whenever I'd post something or want to reply to a posting, he seemed like an " online bully " to me. Maybe it's just me. Granted I don't post 10 to 15 posts a day or even a week, but still, I feel weakminded and dumb whenever I ask something or wish to address something. I sure hope that maybe I can overlook that feeling and wish to make a comment every now and then.
