Birthday, Al! More years of keeping it clean & your fabulous voice intact. Sing a song, my fave BB! I've been a drummer in the BBs band, making seminal album Pet Sounds. Al was THE buddy, ultimate fun to hang about with. Happy birthday, Al. I wanna bring a can of tuna to your ranch. Then after we finish the fish, I'm gonna do the beats by hitting the can, you know. God, I miss that sound!
We meet again. Jus' wanna add - in honor of you, Al, I'll spend this day all clean - windows, floor, dishes, myself, my drumset - everything's gonna shine with cleanliness. But tomorrow... Very nice stuff, Mr. Blaine. Al loves you.

TIA (RangeRoverA1) Thanks for your interest and for mentioning one of my favorite topics to discuss about the book -- the Morgans.
Yes, I am very happy to report that Becoming the Beach Boys, 1961-1963 will include professional portrait photographs of Hite and Dorinda Morgan. Beautiful quality. Some of the many, many questions that motivated me to begin researching and writing the book was, "Who were Hite and Dorinda Morgan? Where did they come from? What were they like? How did they meet Murry? What was the true story? What happened to them after the Boys signed with Capitol? What did they look like?" Well, now we'll know. I cannot post the photos here until the book is published. But, soon. Thanks again for your interest and support!
Ha, that was funny - my name isn't Tia, that's short for "Thanks in advance". Call me Mari . Anyway, thanks for your answer, that's good news, I look forward to seeing their photos. And yes, this chapter in the BBs 'story is a curio, it was lost but now found with your help. Hopefully, the book is gonna come out soon.

Dunno why, but I quickly got an image of current Brian listening to this & enjoying. Maybe it's synthesizers. I didn't like the sonic fx at the intro, fake claps or whatever, but then, it makes here total sense, so can't complain. You said your voice is weak, but I think it's due to volume & if necessary, you can yell very well. I'll tell ya, you got pleasant voice.
If done rightly, the tune could be a decent radio hit. Agreed with SF.

I LOVE THIS SONG.
Oh, I certainly know why you said so. Upon hearing it for the 1st time, I thought it was you on vocs, just sounding a little less 'creepy'. Either way, I liked the song (& voice), it's sort of combination of stylish & cheery. Thank you, Paul, keep sharing more stuff.

Missed this thread. Who are some people that are still alive that come to your mind? I've no idea who are my neighbors, never saw their faces, but I know that one lady still works in a nearby 5-storied supermarket. It's my fave lil shop to buy antiques. Also some teenager who rides the bike around my house, for whatever reason, he's alive & kicking. And his elder sister.
