To the original poster: Your "Surfin'" on Candix is the later version with "DIST BY ERA RECORD SALES" on the label.  Copies that don't mention ERA are rarer.  The value can vary widely based on condition; opinions will vary on value, but a MINT condition copy can go for $250 or more.  But when the condition drops, the value drops exponentially.  A VG+ copy drops to $150 or less, and a VG copy to $75 or less.  The ERA Records sleeve is very nice.  If that's the copy that sold on eBay for $46.55 you did pretty well -- assuming the condition is as described. If the condition is VG- or worse it could be worth $30 or less.

Lee

Lee, I did buy it on ebay, for close to the price you mentioned, i knew it was the first run, but i wanted it in my collection.

I find this interesting, from Mike Loves Facebook page...

I would like to thank Randell Kirsch for the last 11 years as a Beach Boys band member. He will always be near and dear to us and a part of our Beach Boy family. His contribution as singer and bass player with the band has been much appreciated, and I wish him all success going forward with his own musical endeavors. Thank you Randell.
Separately I would like to welcome Brian Eichenberger to the band. His incredible musical background could not be more impressive. Thank you for lending your immense talent to the Beach Boys Live. Peace and Love, Mike Love

11  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / 45's question on: November 18, 2013, 02:20:08 PM
This may have been discussed all ready, but is there any song that was only on a 45, not a 45 and LP?
12  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Studio Albums on: March 07, 2013, 09:08:33 AM
I was able to score a Still Crusin off of ebay for less than $15, and while in Gatlinburg, TN, i picked up a CD copy of Stars and Stripes for $2. All that I have left is Summer in Paradise. Guess that record will be my Eleanor...

I've seen 2 on ebay, single albums, both German pressings. Since it seems in the US, that double lps is the only way, guess I'll go that route.

Carl/Passions isn't hard to find at all. Try Ebay if you don't have local record shops. Keep in mind though, that most copies are bundled with Pet Sounds - this raises the price and demand.

I've seen them on ebay but as a bundle, hoping to get one by itself.

I'd just buy the bundle, unless you have some need to only have it as a single album. The bundle is the first American issue, so it's not like you wouldn't be getting the original.

I guess my main reason for not wanting to bundle is that I all ready have 2 copies of Pet Sounds and if i bundled that would make 3.

Summer in Paradise was released on vinyl somewhere in the world but it's incredibly hard to find and will be very expensive when you do find one.

Stars and Stripes was not released on vinyl.

Wonder why they never released S&S on vinyl?

I have both So Tough and Still Cruisin'. PM me if you're interested in a purchase. However, the postage from Sweden is probably worth more than the records themselves.

Yea, I would hate to see what that postage would be.

I'm trying to collect all the BB studio albums on vinyl, so far I've got most of them, the following I have found to be hard to get. I marked 2 of them with a *, I can't tell if they were ever released on vinyl, can anyone confirm if they were?

Carl & the Passions "So Tough"
Still Cruisin'
Summer in Paradise *
Stars and Stripes Vol. 1*

Here's what Stan Love offered about 13 years ago. They were nice.  Maybe he'll do them again if you ask him!

Yep, that's what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about a wall calendar, you always see those places at Christmas that sell dog, cat, baseball, etc calendars. O was wondering if anyone had ever seen a Beach Boys
21  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Calendar's on: January 22, 2013, 06:40:00 PM
If this has been discussed, I apologize, I looked and didn't see anything. Has anyone ever seen a 12 month Calendar for the Beach Boys?
22  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Record Store Day release on: December 11, 2012, 07:22:52 AM
Geez, why do you keep asking about the Record Day release??  They're all over the place!  All you have to do is look; they're not hard to find.  If all else fails, get one on Ebay - they're under 20 bucks!

Are you talking to me? I asked the question, because I thought it was a good one. Sorry if it doesn't meet your standards.

Nope.  I was addressing Lonely Summer.  I had a nice post typed and ready to go with a real good recommendation for you, but I accidently farted and it blew away.

My apologies Mikie, I couldn't tell who were talking to, being so new to this board, I hate to try a post topic, as I always think my topics are dumb

I was able to score last yrs copy of Good Vibrations/ Heroes and Villains for less than $20 on ebay. As I mentioned earlier, do I open them and listen to em or do I leave them sealed for the collectors value?
25  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Record Store Day release on: December 06, 2012, 06:09:50 AM
So, it seems everyone is opening theirs and playing it. Thought about keeping my copy sealed up, is that crazy?
