Ste, you might still be able to cancel the order. I see there are other grey area DVDs of RFH and Wembley out there too, both Audience-shot I believe. Hopefully officialmversions will come our way one day…
RFH? Where did you see that? The Chiba show was released in Japan, got a copy of that with good picture and audio. With extras too.

Thanks to all who have posted reviews and thoughts from the show, I was at the RAH gig and it sounds like an equally good night, although glad we got the few extra songs. From the footage I've seen, Brian looks slightly more on in the Wembley gig than RAH, never seen him smile so much. I think aswell it doesn't look forced, unlike some of the earlier filmed concerts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_sMw4_R8YE&feature=channel&list=ULIn Sail On Sailor in the tour, Brian either finished the song with a low note, or an octave up, in my opinion always sounds better on higher octave. From 3:02 in this, he goes low at first, then decides to go for the higher note and finishes after the rest of the band I think - sounds great anyway!

Haha missed that bit John!
Didn't have a very good view of Brian from my seat, but was it just me, or was he not using a teleprompter? I suspect he was, but it didn't look like it was in the mock piano like it normally is? Anyone who went know?
Seemed like Brian wanted to play Summer's Gone. Maybe reading into it too much but probably a small hint in doing it.

Yep, there were cameras on stage, no massive TV production type ones, but the professional looking handheld ones - am sure we'll see some clips turn up soon!
The ovation after IJWMFTT was massive, the biggest of the night.
Was something very special about it, think the band liked the venue. Hopefully all the Wembley goers tomorrow get the same gig!
Forgot to say, didn't write a setlist, but Scott announced they were doing 61 songs! Not bad, it finished bout 11:15!

At the hotel after the gig - wow! What a show!
The only gig I'll see on the tour, but picked well! Brian was ON form, really really on. Never heard him speak so much, even came back for a third bow and said "See you again, drive safely", first for this tour.
Summer's Gone was a very unexpected second encore. Our Prayer sounded great.
Hope there's a Dvd of this gig, deserves it

Didn't notice it on Knebworth either.
I'm played in lots of loud rock bands for years and only started wearing earplugs about 8 months ago, so my hearing is probably pretty far gone.
That's because autotune was not present. This was 1980. Autotune (Antares Vocal Processor) wasn't around until 1997. Think with regards to Knebworth, on the DVD version around today, Mike's voice has definetly been enhanced - live it won't have been as you say, but for the version we see of the concert, there has been some work. For anyone who can't hear it at the AZ concert, listen to the Surfer Girl Brian-solo mid section, on the second "I.... would take you" - the pitch on the I fluctuates from perfect to zero, whereas normally in concert it would go a note or two down. But having said that, it really does not matter, it's just great to see them performing live together again and doing a great job.

Smiley Smile Stuff / Concert Reviews / Re: Brian At Glastonbury

As a UK fan, it's very annoying to watch this back and think "why wasn't I there" I don't think I've ever seen a crowd as big as that as Glastonbury - ever - there were a few weak moments vocally from Brian (WIBN) but overall it was such a solid performance considering the amount of gig-goers. Hoping that one day there is footage of more of the concert as opposed to the select songs - Little Saint Nick at a Summer Festival?!
