Do any of you know why The Who didn't release Lifehouse?

I believe they abandoned Lifehouse in favor of making a more casual album instead of another rock opera.

Typed 'Smiley Smile' in on Google and noticed the board. Lurked for a while until I decided to make an account.

This is pure genius. I could listen to this album over and over again and I'll never get tired of Pet Sounds. My favorite album of all time!

TWGMTR turned out to be an awesome Beach Boys album! Aside from the few not-so-good songs, TWGMTR has many memorable, and quite wonderful BB tracks. And it's amazing that after all those years, they can sing together is such beautiful harmony! Great job boys!

Hello! I've become a huge Beach Boys/Brian Wilson fan about a year ago after hearing Pet Sounds for the first time. I've learned quite a bit about the Beach Boys and I'm hoping to learn a lot more from this thread. I'm very glad to be a part of it.
