Awesome!
I'm assuming this is tracked -- what's your tracker of choice? I've yet to find one with an interface I can really jive with, but without the complexity of something like Renoise.
Are the drums sampled or synthesized by whatever tracker you're using?

It's also really hard to tell just *how* depressed you are when you're depressed.
This doesn't make any sense to me. If you are in great discomfort but you can't tell you are in great discomfort then you're not in great discomfort. I'm gonna be blunt and say that it doesn't make sense because you haven't been in that position. It warps your thinking so badly, it's not until you're in treatment and everything else where you look back and go "oh, sh*t."

Oh man, varies wildly from song to song.
I seem to be the only person on this board who liked the first PLMW stereo mix, I don't care for the one one the 2012 Today!
Fun, Fun, Fun in stereo is just wimpy compared to mono.
Stereo California Girls is so, so, so good.
It may be blasphemous, but I prefer stereo Pet Sounds.
It's really kind of up in the air. I tend to prefer stereo, but not always.

TBH I have no qualms about pirating music from huge groups like The Beach Boys or the like, or software from huge companies from Adobe and the like.
It's the smaller artists / developers that really need the income.
Also, the "downloads kill the music industry!" argument is stale. It's not. Sharing tapes with your friends didn't kill the industry either.
Online piracy is the 21st century equivalent of making tapes for people.

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Pet Sounds Numbers

Carried over from the insignificant questions thread:
So, this is an obscure question for the knowledgeable collectors out there...
I received that sealed Pet Sounds I had mentioned earlier as a gift and I've been inspecting it to make sure it's actually what it's claimed to be. While looking over it and comparing it to the open, original press of Pet Sounds I own, I noticed there's a small number on the bottom back right. On my open version, there's a "3", and on my sealed version, there's a "6". Other than that, they both seem to be the same in every other regard.
Does anyone know what these numbers represent? What numbers do you have and on what versions?
(Pictures forthcoming)
IIRC this has something to do with where it was pressed. Don't hold me to it, but I think I heard that when I was searching for a butcher cover.

If the songs are good I don't care if Brian is singing a duet with Charles Manson. "A Friend Like You" sucked not because Paul's voice didn't blend with Brian's, it sucked beacause it was a forgettable dittie. If Paul had guested in "Midnight's Another Day" they would have sounded good together.
Of course, the concept of good songs is very subjective.
Dude, I'd love to hear Brian collab with Manson!

This was before Landy's gross over-medication kicked in: there's footage from his autobiography promo tour, fall 1991, that would make you weep (in fact, it formed part of the smoking gun evidence that eventually freed him from Landy's control). You also have to factor in that this was shot some 28 years ago.
Yeah, isn't the Barbara Walters interview from that era as well? He's all over the place in that one. And yeah, I think this video is really damning proof of the over-medication as you stated, but also of the fact that Brian is a 71-year old nowadays.

Smoking is stupid and deadly, but I'm not here to preach.
It's funny, ever since I was little I always loved the smell of tobacco smoke (and no, nobody close to me smoked), even though everybody else always called it nasty and everything else.
The taste is great IMO, the breath is a different story. And, at the right times, a nicotine buzz can be fun.
I wouldn't call myself a smoker, but I can see the appeal.
