Copied from Steve Hoffman forum :  I was reliably informed that while BRI has the material Roy and some other members of Wizzard recorded with Brian Wilson during his so-called "Bedroom Tapes" era in their archive, they couldn't put any of this on the Made In California retrospective or later packages as a result of a certain musician involved with these sessions being embarrassed by the results of the high profile collaborations, since he expected a lot more from the time spent with someone regarded a personal musical hero.

No one else may agree, but I put Brian above all others, Beatles included! He delivered the goods better than anyone, and other music  makers can just stand there with their mouths open!

Many moons ago when he toured with WIZZARD and came thru Atlanta is when I chatted the boy up! Got my picture with him, when anyone asks "Who's he"? I tell em he is the guy who founded ELO! The MOVE gets no response!

I asked Roy about his work with the Beach Boys back it the 70's. He said "Honeycomb" wasn't very good and that Brian Wilson was very talented and very strange!

The Beach Boys played here in Atlanta last night in a ballroom for a Christmas Party! Why was I not invited? Mike sounded pretty good from the small vids I've seen! What kinda cash does Mike make from a Christmas party? 75,000 bucks?

I was told by a long time back-up player (who most fans don't like) that when Mike got control he finally could get rid of Al , who he didn't like from the beginning in 62, never liked him!  Mike's wife also got rid of the back-ground player who I spoke with!

I'm willing to bet, Putter Smith was the only member of the Beach Boys touring band to play a villain in a James Bond movie. "Diamonds at Forever"

Glad to see Peter Cetera has once again added "Wishing you Were Here" back in his 2017 setlist!

Chiming in on a back ground player mentioned earlier. Joe Chemay  plays bass for Peter Cetera now, and sings bkgd on the new Roy Orbison release!

Cetera is a great bass player, and Kath has no equal on guitar. Why would they switch?

Watched a special last night, Chicago - The Terry Kath Experience - It told the story of the fantastic guitar player who formed the band "Chicago" thru the eyes of his daughter. So Kath's daughter and widow take a trip to Caribou Ranch in 2014 as it is being sold. They tour the ranch and finally go into the studio part and a "Pacific Ocean Blue" album is on display. Kath's widow picks it up and said "He was a crazy guy, a good guy" the staff agrees. Also includes a clip of the Beach Boys and Chicago singing "Wishing You were Here" Terry is the lead vocalist. For the life of me I don't understand why Kath is playing bass on this song and Peter Cetera is playing guitar!

The Beach Boys performance was just an alright lip-sync, then the Four Tops , who have hired a lead singer, who sounds nothing like Levi Stubbs, Levi was one of the all-time great singers, I think they could have gotten someone who can belt em out!
