Whatever happened to the Durrie Parks acetates on eBay? Been meaning to make a topic on it ..
They were purchased by a private collector, and are basically unheard other than a tantalizing snippet at the very, very tail end of Wake the World Friends set. I own that. Where at, exactly in the digital set is it? I really need to make a topic about this... Indeed. Please start that topic.

he helped a lot of people with their records and production back in the day. Jan & Dean and Glen Campbell come to mind immediately.
Van Dyke speaks of Brian's generosity when they first started working together. Brian helped him get a car and paid him before they even got going.
I also admire Brian's ability to speak complimentary of just about everyone, even those who don't particularly deserve it.
Mike Love is a mind gangster ..... BDW Brian went out of his way to call Mike a genius several years ago. I believe he did this to make Mike feel good; it was a very gracious thing to publicly say. Regardless if people agree with Brian's statement or not, regardless if people feel Mike deserved that, I would tend to think that Brian saying it was out of a selfless, caring attitude Brian seems to have.

The Beatles would have reunited to fill in the nostalgia gap left in the space-time continuum and gone on to be the butt of many jokes after their 16th through 23rd albums bombed due to the poor musicianship and mediocre songwriting. Brian would have died of a massive coronary infarction in 1976, weighing in at a portly 463 lbs, though his clone would go on to sell many thousands of concert tickets over 2 decades later.. Dennis would have cleaned up his act and gone on to win several Academy Awards as both actor and producer. Carl would have renounced his conscientious objector status and joined the Marines, serving as a general during Desert Storm and the first Iraq War. Mike Love would have opened a chain of gas stations after his 3rd consecutive solo album failed to chart and he was left with massive debt to his record label. Al Jardine opened a chain of steakhouses all up and down along the California coast but is currently in prison after it turned out the steaks were actually harvested off hitchhiking transients. Bruce Johnston moved to Iceland and funded a fleet of whaling ships which is currently the world leader in "sustainable and renewable" fuel oil; he met his end in 1992 after a mutiny on one of his ships lead to him being harpooned in the throat. Andrew G Doe opened a successful accounting firm where he met his wife and in his spare time enjoyed spending time with his 3 sons and researching the history of the multi-platinum recording artist known as Toto. Wtf?

I think this is 98. I have heard an 88 version of Terri, where Brian sings incredibly high. This is different.
Russ T would have kept the killer bass line that J T dropped. Definitely 98 vintage. Matt's description says it all, Brian's 88 falsetto was OTT, hence the marketing marvel of an original BW/RT composition finally released 33 years later did not happen. I want to hear Terri......now!
