I think that one reason that Daybreak is so lowly rated is just because it`s the only song that had been heard previously (and because it wasn`t re-recorded).

I had never heard it.  It's just a bad song.

The vocals on "If I Needed Someone" are probably some of my favorite harmonies in any song ever.

I don't see how you can be a Beach Boys fan who doesn't like the Beatles.  They were probably Brian's greatest influence when he was at his songwriting peak.

Actually, let me rephrase that.  I don't see how you can like music at all and not like the Beatles.  That just doesn't make sense in my mind.

The Foskett version is the best one in my opinion.

I signed up for a free trial just out of curiosity and it's basically just a playlist of the following songs.  Nothing really special but interesting.  Some of the non-Beach Boys song choices are questionable but some are also pretty nice.  I can't help but doubt that Brian really put that much effort into "handpicking" the Beach Boys tracks which (with the exception of That's Why God Made the Radio and the live version of Darlin') are all available on Sounds of Summer in some form.

Because they did a jolly good job on this song. Great cover that outshines the original with that creepy voice of Mr. Dylan imo!

Dylan's voice is beautiful and iconic. 

I think Strange World would be the best choice for a second single.

Though honestly, they don't need a second single unless they want to put something out for a record store day on vinyl.

I'll wait for the guys at Rolling Stone to give it a shot.  I know David Fricke is a big Beach Boys fan.
