Maybe the reason Blondie is onstage so little is simply because he's 68 years old, and it'd maybe cause him some pain to be standing up onstage for two hours. Maybe his appearances throughout the show are all he can physically handle at this age?
With that being said, if those reasons aren't the case, I'd love to see Blondie on stage the whole time. He obviously knows the hits from playing with The BBs during his original tenure, and he's definetely a competent musician who could learn material like "Lookin At Tomorrow" or "I Can Hear Music"... His presence on guitar might also give some of the early rockers the drive they need.
Al is standing on stage the whole time, and he's considerably older than Blondie. Count me in as another one who would like to see Blondie take more leads. There are a number of songs from Carl and the Passions and Holland that would make a lot of sense. As someone who’s always up for hearing some Love You songs in the set, I think Blondie would really hit hard on “Let Us Go On This Way”.

Stamos is hosting A Capitol Fourth on PBS this year, I’m surprised Mike and his guys aren’t on the bill as they’ve done it many times in the past, especially with Stamos involved. Are they playing a show that night or maybe they’re making a surprise appearance. http://www.pbs.org/a-capitol-fourth/concert/performers/This is by no means an attempt to discuss OUR political opinions...does anyone know if Stamos is a Trump supporter? I always assumed that he was involved before BECAUSE of The Beach Boys. I find it interesting that he is opting to host this without their presence as typically the acts are openly conservative bands/artists. I don’t think that’s true. I mean, Carole King is headlining this year, she’s as liberal as they get. I’ve always thought of Capitol Fourth to be an apolitical event. PBS programming in general rarely is the sort that appeals to the Trump voter demographic.

I hope the reviewers don't get too rough on this tour. I don't closely follow The Zombies, but I caught their TV performance recently doing "Time of the Season" and Blunstone sounded pretty warbly, with a seemingly uncontrollable excessive vibrato when having to sing old falsetto-ish lines in full-voice.
no, thats how the song is my guy- Colin sounds the same as he always did, he has not destroyed his voice from year after year of touring....because he didnt do that I think he did sound a little off on the Fallon performance which I think HeyJude is referring to but in general, Colin still sounds fantastic. And the band's Hall of Fame set was pretty killer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqQ6MdmF4LA

I don't think I've ever seen a video clip of them performing "Wake the World" from this era. Always find it weird to see them miming to a Brian vocal. They could have at least done a live vocal to track and let Al sing it as he did in concert at the time. Still cool to see rare footage like this.

I don't think anyone would blame Brian for packing it in on the live shows. He doesn't owe us anything. I love him but it hurts to see him struggling to sing like that. Even when he sounds okay, he sounds like he's straining. I know people have worried about Brian doing concerts for years now but I've seen him and the band about five or six times since the 2012 Beach Boys tour and the deterioration of his voice and his physical presence is pretty staggering.

I have a strong dislike for the horror genre, so I won't be seeing Us despite the rave reviews. I feel like even people who aren't into horror can enjoy Us and Get Out. They're more reminiscent of classic sci-fi like The Twilight Zone (which not so coincidentally is being revived by Jordan Peele) than a lot of the modern generic horror flicks (which I would agree are for the most part awful). I did see Us this past weekend and I absolutely loved it and the use of "Good Vibrations" was pretty cool.

Having heard all of these 66-68 concert recordings, it’s surprising to me that all that time, they never played the complete version of “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”. It was always a slightly abbreviated version, cutting the line “You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it”. I guess they didn’t start including that until the seventies.

Just came back from the NJ show. This was my seventh time seeing Brian and I have to say this was definitely the weakest show I’ve seen them do, not that it wasn’t a good show. The Christmas set went on too long. I think it’s cool that they threw in some rarities from the ‘77 sessions and songs from Brian’s solo album but altogether, that’s just too many songs about the same thing. It just got tedious after awhile and the crowd wasn’t really into it. Brian’s son-in-law did a nice job but I hope he’s not a permanent addition to the band as Matt Jardine’s usual energy was sorely missed. Brian sounded okay when he sang which wasn’t much. He did barely if any backing vocals at all. A lot of songs in the hits set that he would normally sing on were given to Al. There is no doubt that he is in poor shape and I feel for him. I really hope he gets better. Otherwise, the band sounded good, Al and Blondie sounded good and it was interesting to see something a little different than their usual set, even if it didn’t work quite as well as it could have. But I have to be honest. I chose to see Brian tonight over seeing Lindsey Buckingham in NYC and now I kind of regret I didn’t see Lindsey instead.

If Brian, Al & Co. flew to Moscow, even St. Petersburg, I'd definitely go. The point is, you must be glad, people, that you get to see Brian live - it's cool, you know? I'm not sure really what's the problem.
I think most of us are grateful for the chance to see Brian live but I don't think it's wrong to be concerned about him. Between his age, his history with depression and mental illness, his recent surgeries, and his current mobility issues, it's troubling to see him looking so detached. I'm sure if his family and doctors didn't think he should be touring or if he told them he didn't want to, he wouldn't be. But it's still hard not to worry.
