well theres two good vibrations on the smiley disc. So official stereo mix?
Not possible. Well I know that. I'm Just saying that something stereo with the name of good vibrations is on that cd. Be it a backing track, early vocals, digital extraction or something else. For the whole album though wouldn't there be parts missing in the stereo mix?

Smiley Smile Stuff / Concert Reviews / Re: Show 41: DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston, MI 6/30/12

This was my first beach boys concert and it was possibly the best concert i have or will ever attend. Me and my friend drove from Holland, MI which is on the other side of the state. There wasn't a lot of movement in the Lawn seating where i was but people stood up and were really getting into it during the pet sounds part of the show and from good vibrations through the encore. We sat left of pillar 3 and had the perfect view of Brian, David, Al, and Bruce. However we never got a good glimpse of mike except for the big TV screens. My friend was blown away by Bruce on disney girls. There 3 or 4 merch stands and only one sold autographed cds. so i picked up Postcard and the David marks CD for 15 each. I also got a tour program which is very nice to say the least. It was truly an amazing night for me. We didn't end up getting home until around 3:30ish. Is it just me or were there no gas stations in Clarkston? After we escaped the parking lot madness we stopped at the shell off the highway only to find it was closed. Then we though we we taking an exit but, along with many others, we found ourselves in a parking lot with one exit. After getting lost a few times we did end up home safe and sound.
The only downside is that there was a lot of commotion in the lawn around me. First this older guy got hit by a beach ball thrown by a little girl and proceeds to deflate it. The father came over and the older man began swearing extremely loud during the opening drums of do it again. He then grabbed a second beach ball by him and tried to pop it. The father of the young girl was still standing over him and grabbed that ball away from him. The older man starts screaming for security, although nobody ever came and the older man eventually left. He acted very rude and his antics put a damper on the beginning of the concerts. A few songs later a lady appeared to have her nose broken by the very large beach and was bleeding profusely. After that it was smooth sailing until the end.
All in all great show and im still exhausted from the trip.
BTW we swear we saw Violent J of Insane Clown Posse. Anyone else see him? Or can confirm he was in attendance?

So, for instance, the artist name is in black at the top of the original LP release of "Carl And The Passions - So Tough," while the CD version is more prominently displayed on the bottom left in white.
IIRC reading on this forum somewhere a few days ago wasn't it established that the record was originally released with no 'the beach boys' on the cover at all, or was that just in a few countries? I am now slightly peeved* that my 'Mini LP' of CATP may not be accurate as it has the small black writing at the top! *not really annoyed but it bothers the OCD fanboy part of my brain! Well from my collection i would say the mini lp having the black lettering to be more accurate, as it was only issued as a single with the black "Beach Boys" on the top, whereas the original pressing lacked this but was a double album with Pet Sounds. So... a correct mini lp of the sing So tough would be accurate in having the black lettering

Say what you will about the guy, but he's more of a beach boy than Blondie or Ricky.
If Jeff Foskett, a touring member who joined them at a low point in their career, is more of a Beach Boy than Blondie and Ricky (official members who wrote and contributed to the band, as well as Blondie getting a lead on a classic Beach Boys song), so is John Stamos. Even John Stamos is more of a Beach Boy than foskett.

The single version of Help...me Rhonda followed directly by the version from Al's solo album.
EDIT: from what i briefly heard, The Beach Boys are making a music video for Don't Fight The Sea?
EDIT 2: the word filter makes it difficult to mention a certain song

I think its ridiculous that beach boys bootlegs can't be posted while people are allowed to butcher up TSS and post them for download. The Beach Boy community really needs to come together and share what is available. You may suggest "Torrenting" but have you really seen how little stuff is out there? and when it is found its typically low bit-rate or transcoded. I mean the band will never release a lot of the bootlegged material, so the only people getting hurt are the fans. How much money does it take out of The Band's pocket for a fan to have Adult/Child? It's hypocritical for Smile mixes to be posted. That's something you can go and buy. Modifying it and posting it online for people to download it IS piracy. You can't pick and choose what bootlegs you find legal. What makes smile the exception in bootlegs being posted? And it's better for say the UM series to be posted here for free then a bootlegger to profit off it. If the band isnt losing money and bootleggers arent gaining money, whats the harm? Either fan mixes of smile have to be "forbidden" or all bootlegs should become acceptable
