the excretion of fecal matter can be quite a turn on, constipation or diarrhea notwithstanding...
28  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: A BEACH BOYS REUNION?! [Important News] on: April 23, 2006, 07:45:44 PM
I could change my mind by the time I get to the Blueboard or ME3, but now I'm saying I hope it doesn't happen...I doubt that the reunion is happening simply because Al, Brian, Mike and Bruce wanna do it...Mike will wanna use HIS guys, Brian will wanna use HIS team probably--Instant Conflict...it sounds like the Ultimate Logistic Nightmare...Blondie? Ricky?  don't forget to include Daryl Dragon...
29  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: So what did we all do today? on: April 16, 2006, 06:24:49 AM
How I spent my Saturday...Pushed a bunch of shopping carts around, pushed a guy in his wheelchair back to his apartment--the only thing harder than pushing him uphill was trying to keep him from rolling DOWNhill...Had a gig, I'm part of an acoustic trio, among other musical endeavors...A semi legend in one neighborhood, the bottom of the food chain in the other...it's a question of balance I guess...
30  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: May I mess up your order, sir? on: April 12, 2006, 05:27:52 PM
with ya all the way, H&V...I've learned to say "single chese plain", but I still check it 'fore I leave...The only thing Wendy's is good for is the Frosty...
31  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Boring thread as always. on: April 11, 2006, 07:36:33 PM
As I've said before (and I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks like this)
If there is only one artist who is allowed to say "I've given you LOTS, I'm tired,
let me rest a bit..." it's Brian Wilson. He should be able to do what HE wants,
not what WE want...

Doesn't Neil Young have one of those pick ups on Ol' Black ? (neck position)
33  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / General Music Discussion / Re: Favorite Guitar on: March 31, 2006, 07:30:29 AM
It may be too late,  but don't get me wrong--I LOVE the Byrds ! But La Grange on a 12-string ? I would say no...Purple Haze ? No...ANY Blues tune ? a BIG  NO...
34  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / General Music Discussion / Re: Favorite Guitar on: March 30, 2006, 06:13:04 PM
It's been a long day, I'm tired, and ready to cry..."worms", I had one of those in honey blonde with a maple neck...forced to sell it...all three pick ups at once--VERY NICE IMO Sad  the single coils were a bit noisy, but NOW it comes with "Noiseless" pick ups...My friend Roy still has the white Rick bass he bought in '75 or so...plays in a country band with it !! Had a Mexican Tele Deluxe, sold it... Sad  Had a late 70s Tele w/Bigsby...sold it  Sad  And finally, had a 1965 Fender Electric XII (paid $200, traded it [and a mid 70s Epiphone semi solid 335 lookin ax] for the Tele, got $100 for it) There's only so much you can do with an electric XII, but it was my favorite Sad   Angry Embarrassed  Cry  Cry  Cry
35  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: New Beach Boys live collection May 15? on: March 30, 2006, 06:55:36 AM
Was gonna ask why do it in the first place, but maybe it's the beginning of the end of hostilities...
36  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: RIP MITCH HEDBERG on: March 30, 2006, 03:26:01 AM
The Comedy Central show was beyond hysterical...Did a Mitch inpression a couple of days later--an accidental, spur of the moment kinda thing--nailed it, broke the wife up...Saw him Live in DC, not so much as a chuckle from either of us,  dunno why...thanx for the quotes, BTW...
37  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: Male Eagle forum changes on: March 27, 2006, 07:17:45 PM
what's so great about "rowdy and rough" ? Just an excuse to be mean and ugly for the sake of free speech...
38  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: 'Lite' discussion: Hardest Beach Boys leads to sing on: March 26, 2006, 07:21:44 PM
Don't think I've ever sung a BB tune standing up...Almost always in the car, with a scrunched up diaphragm...Need to warm up first, drink some soda (NO DAIRY!)...Otherwise, they're all pretty tough...
39  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: March 01, 2006, 01:23:07 PM
that  sounds about right to me mikea...It's the fuckin Internet,I'd wager that half the people on it aren't who they claim to be,the Internet is FULL of wackos (It takes one to know one)...In spite of "her" avatar (which Charles sez he didn't notice) I wouldn't be too surprised to find out that "Laurie" was a lonely over weight white guy with little reason for living (like me)...Except there may be people who have met her IN PERSON, but how would we know for sure...I know I'm contributing to the sh*t but "BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION" barely scatches the surface...
40  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / Re: Ever feel like giving up music? on: March 01, 2006, 07:56:46 AM
Try to look at it the way I (as a gutarist) do--Clapton can't do what EVH can do, but Eric's doin fine, probably doesn't have to worry about geting a REAL job Smiley   Keep at it...
41  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: March 01, 2006, 04:56:31 AM
WOW!  What in the WORLD  happened here?Huh!! Huh Shocked Shocked Shocked
I guess I have never wandered over to this side of the schoolyard before, I usually just post on the on topic stuff.  I had no idea there was another Smile board or a sandbox.

Trust me Carly, you don't wanna know...maybe that's what they mean by "ignorance is bliss"

"schoolyard" is right...
42  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: March 01, 2006, 04:54:01 AM
a decent night's sleep makes all the difference...two good posts, I plan on stayin...It's not so much that "what happened" was insignificant, although in the bigger scheme of things it might be...it's just that the SS board is so vast,I'm sure there are posters on it who have little if any idea that the Sandbox exploded,sh*t flyin everywhere...

WE NEED THE SANDBOX
43  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: February 28, 2006, 08:01:28 PM
a lock down SEEMS like censorship, but then again, maybe not...or to get to the heart matter--f*** it, let's move on...
44  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: February 28, 2006, 07:57:02 PM
I guess the biggest problem with any bulletin board is that it's run by, visited by, and used by human beings...And you know how nutty the human race is...judging by my dog's behavior, there is lunacy in the animal kingdom, too...
45  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: February 28, 2006, 07:31:10 PM
in America a man is innocent until PROVEN guilty...innocent men go to jail and guilty  men go free, consider this the beginnig of an apology...Still, in this day and age one has to be ESPECIALLY careful...for instance-what was called discipline when I was a kid is called child abuse now...what was called flirting is sometimes called harassment...
46  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: February 28, 2006, 07:11:00 PM
if by "Laurie" you mean "LaurieArleen",then I might, I said might owe Charles an apology..."Provocative" is in the eye of the beholder...And I DO appreciate the fact that the Christian inside him has kept a fairly low profile,'til now...
47  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: February 28, 2006, 06:54:49 PM
and just to prove I can be fair, if IF IF the female in question is who I think it COULD be, the avatar itself could be considered provocative...
48  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Long Version of what happened on: February 28, 2006, 06:44:45 PM
now I have to decide whether I should stay or not...THE LAST THING I NEED TO HEAR ABOUT IS A SUPPOSEDLY CHRISTIAN MAN BEHAVING LIKE JIM BAKER or JIMMY SWAGGERT...Let me guess, God told you she really wants it...
49  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: Ask Chuck on: February 28, 2006, 05:00:19 PM

what did you say?

All will be explained, later tonight I hope.

assuming of course that you tell the absolute truth, and nothing less...but then how will we I know ?

It's sometimes very difficult to have to relate to five other people, but i'm extremely thankful that I have them and their voices.  There are many times when I feel like it could be over, and then I would stop, but then I wouldn't know what else to do.

I think the occasional tension and difficulty is ultimately worth it, for the glory of collaborative creation.  Not that I can remember what that's like.

After what I just went thru 2 wks ago, I would say it's easier on my nervous system to be a freelancer...So for now, I am...
