"All these people make me feel so alone..."
That one got to me, even more so after seeing it live.
As far as the narrative portion, I would have liked to hear Van Dyke recite them with his twisted cadence. When I read them, that's the voice I hear in my head.
My vote goes to Owen Wilson for narrating. Hey, blond hair, and his last name is Wilson. How can you go wrong? Alright, maybe not haha. I love TLOS how it is, and seeing it live at the Keswick was fantastic. Would travel to see it again, live experience is better than the album, imo.

So I'm going to see Brian a week from this Saturday and was wondering what are some good hot spots to visit this way? First time going (to Glenside/Philly, not to see Brian heh). What are the price ranges at Tower Records and do they sell vinyl?
thanks!

Smiley Smile Stuff / Welcome to the Smiley Smile board / Smiley Server problem?

Or maybe something blocks it every now and then. For the past week or so I haven't been able to get on here at all. Rare occasions (like now) Ive been able to. Is something wrong with the server? I hope not. If there was hope its fixed! Anyone else have problems?

Cool, Steve! We should all have a Smiley Board meet-up before the show. I've seen the Beach Boys band in 1999 - 2005 - 2007 (Brian in 2006 and now next month 2008) and they've all been fun, and very good shows. My favorite had to be last year's because the energy was great from the band & the audience. I'm stoked for next weekend (especially with some potential rarities )!

Thanks, DBD. I was curious if they attempted any of the slower songs like "We Three Kings", "White Christmas", "I'll Be Home For Christmas", or even "Auld Lang Syne".
You're welcome. yeah I wish they would have done "We Three Kings" and especially "Auld Lang Syne"

When I saw the Christmas show they played The Man With All The Toys, Santa's Beard (I think), traditional r&r tunes (rockin around the Christmas tree I think was in there), Little Saint Nick of course, can't remember any others at the moment (that was in 05, it's probably the same currently).

I was somewhat let down by the DVD. I was expecting more of a BWPS dvd approach, have a good amount of studio footage separate from interviews and the like, and then the full Capitol performance. More bang for your buck. oh well, nevertheless it's a great album, I think.
