OSD gave good advice - if you got fat backside, big tummy that hangs down your pelvis & huge elephant legs - you must work out. or run like Swedish Frog. OSD lacks finesse.

I personally don’t really consider Smile to be an “album”, and I’ve always been more satisfied with Smiley Smile. I don’t think Smile could have been assembled into a complete work that makes sense. None of the “final” versions have the sort of continuity and vision that would do justice to the individual greatness of some of the songs. Consequently, I think the way the group decided to release the songs originally (spread out across subsequent albums) was a fine choice … which worked not only to strengthen those releases, but also to contribute to the myth-making that was vital to the Smile story.
Agreed, on all points. That choice of theirs would inform any Beach Boys ten-for-the-moon list I'd draw up today. All official albums including a "Smile track" would be on it but not Smile itself.

2008? Very cool. I'd like to see young artists' works. What is "Ici demesne"? Demesne is explained here ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demesne) and ici is French for "here". It's just lop-sided john k French. It's always a bit of a risk using foreign languages because of the grammar but there are times when I simply have no choice. Bear with me as I explain as briefly as possible: Take the <beautiful> of <Beautiful Dreamer> in my recent Brian palindrome. This reverses as < lufituaeb>!! So, the <lu> became part of <Oulu> and <fi> became <FI>, the code for Finland, which is where the city of Oulu just happens to be! <Tu> is Latin for <you>, but first I had to find something for <aeb>. The only word in my Latin dictionary that began with those three letters was <Aebutius>, the name of several Ancient Roman dignitaries. So <beautiful> was reversed (with some questionable Latin grammar: should it be Aebutie?) as <...Ou lu (FI). Tu, Aebutius...> Yes, friends, the life of a palindromist is not all fun and games.

2john - yes, dogs are nice but I like cats more. I'm sure Swedish Frog is OK with delay. He can run in the meantime. Thanks for the palindrome, very cool. rasmus skotte - good job as well, I think john didn't mind your intrusion. You 2 are big buddies. Is there a chance either of you can make not BBs-related cat palindrome? Can you do cat haiku-drome? Or some limerick, maybe add dogs in the way? Any ideas? Non BBs-related? OK, but it will be music-related. I have some ideas. Glad you like the "feline-drome". And here it is. I began with Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam) and his first hit and things just sort of continued from there, the way palindromes do. (I've no idea what I.H. stands for. That's why I've questioned it.) > Woe, my subdeb Benoît, I love my dog. Hi, tachisme haiku (Yusuf Islam in a wasp mask). Cat Stevens' e-medicines flow. Wolfsen: "Ici demesne". Vet stacks amp, saw animals, if Usuyuki ahems I.H. cat. (I.H.?) Go, dyme! Volition ebbed busy meow <Erica Wolfsen, Cat, 2008 [ Source]

What is AGD up these days? Hasn't posted on BBB either. Anyone in touch with him? I gotta figure the ban was hard on him.
I talked to him online a few days ago. Seems fine and very unconcerned about being banned from the board. I'm a baseball person; whenever I see lifetime ban, I think of Pete Rose. Lifetime sounds very, very harsh to my ears. I would hope somewhere down the road, there AGD can be given a second chance. I think everyone deserves a second chance (yes, even that gambler Pete Rose). Myself, I am working very hard for a second chance in one area of my life. Can't change the past, all I can do is try not to make the same mistakes again. How my attempts at bettering myself are received by the parties involved, I can't control that. All I can do is keep on trying to stay on the straight and narrow. Well said, LS. I should think many of us have a little improving to do. I certainly have. All the best with yours.

john, get rasmus scotte to make cat palindrome A BB-related cat palindrome as promised----only it's mine, not Rasmus's. Several cats here, some in red (as in "Little Saint Nick"), plus "Drive-In" (as in "the cat dressed in white"). > Spot Gary, subtask cat, scare grebe. Little Blaine, mar one modernist: a Cabot (in a.m.). Nine drive-in races use Carnie (Virden in Manitoba). Cats in red----omen or amen? I, Al, belt tile. Bergerac stacks at busy ragtops <

Where's Swedish Frog's cat?
I gave detailed explanation in "what did we do today". Instead of fussing, you could've said some things about cats. Post videos, vines, funny tales, blogs, pictures, snapshots of real cats & drawings. But for some reason, you guys like talking drama, agd & other boring stuff. I thought everybody likes friendly threads. I never fuss, RR. It's just that I can imagine what Swedish Frog is going through right now, waiting for his cat. Point me at a cat and I'll stroke it with pleasure but basically I'm a one- dog person. I do like the idea of a cat palindrome----Beach Boys-related, of course. (It's Skotte by the way, not Scotte.) I'll give it a try----I already have some ideas. At least it'll tear me away from the dreary business of talking drama.

no one is going to be liked by everyone, but everyone is liked by someone. How very true. My very first post got dissed big-time (by an occasional poster I now greatly admire). I suppose the thing is to grit one's teeth and hang on in there. If people shout... well, it's only the internet. Anyway, sticks and stones and all that... I like your stereotypes! Thankfully, I don't have a lawn (or an awful dog).

I've always liked Tears in the Morning.
People call it melodramatic, but I'd bet they'd call it a masterpiece if Dennis had written it.
"Tears In The Morning" is all I ever knew about Sunflower until 2003. Heck, I hadn't even heard of Sunflower until then! I remember "Tears" got quite a bit of radio play in the UK in late 1970 but failed to chart. I have no problems with it----more of a soft spot, actually.
