Yes, that A&E thing was fuggin fantastic! Much better than any other docu I've seen on them... so much rare footage, etc.
If anyone can answer my questions on there, that'd be great. (fifbeat is my name).
"Amazing, anyone seen the E! True Hollywood Story On The Boys."
I'd love to. Is it online anywhere??

Yeah! Answer that.
BTW, AGD, your book is falling apart on me. That's almost the only BB book that I read and go back to millions of times. I hope that one day, you write another, but more text! =) I'll pre-order the sucker!
WHAT OF WHOM, I just bought a song off iTunes called Taking A Walk from the Daniel Johnston "lost recordings" album. Also, bought some other track off that album... forgot the titles. Good stuff.

Well of course he is no 'brian wilson'... but seriously, he's one hell of an artist of many abilities; art, film and of course, music...
He's the only guy that can't play an instrument or sing worth merda... but foda, the way his art comes together, it's magic to my ears. Like a 'brian wilson', Johnston's stuff ranges anywhere from the adorable Surf's Up (Living Life, Speeding Motorcycle) to the rigid cornball of Johnny Carson (The Lennon Song, Casper the Friendly Ghost).
Again, and just like the artsiest of BW stuff, it's not for everyone. So don't hate when you think it's worst music you've ever heard. And yes, that God Only Knows cover blows.
Living Life:
Hold me like a mother would Like I always knew somebody should though tomorrow don't look that good Well, it just goes to show Though people say we're an unlikely couple I'm seeing double of you
Oh. This is life This is life And everything's all right Living living living living living living living living life
Oh I'm hoping though because I'm learning to cope with the emotion-less mediocrity Oh. Day-to-day living
Oh I can't help being restless When everything's so tasteless And all the colors seem to have faded away.
Oh. This is life This is life And everything's all right Living living living living living living living living life
Hold me like a mother would Like I always knew somebody should, yeah. though tomorrow don't look that good Well, just goes to show Though people say we're an unlikely couple Doris Day, and Mott the Hoople Ohhh,..
Ahh...
Life!

Check out his early stuff...
a lot of it was recorded in his home with minimal and cheap equipment; very scratchy, very coarse.... but sh*t, something about his music that just grabs you and you just fall in love with it no matter how sad or true it is. His music is not something you'll like at first listen, but giving it enough time, it'll take control of your heart.
