to anyone who's already picked up a copy from a store, what was the in-store price?

has anybody checked out the back cover of this release yet?

I just watched a video over on the Record Store Day website, and there was a 14 minute video of a guy going through and talking a little about all the releases, and at about 3:08 he pulls out the beach boys GV/H&V release and turns it around...

Technically, Mike is on "Heroes and Villains" - he sings "and sunny down snuff I'm alright, by the heroes and-".
And I think he doubles Brian at the end of every line "...long long time", "...heroes and villains" "...brought her down", "...heroes and villains" (again)

it's also worth noting there's a version of the Cantina section where he sings lead as well

In regards to what version of Surf's Up they're going to put in, I came across this article a couple days ago in which Billboard.com interviews Mark Linett.

...we can put Brian's vocal back into "Surf's Up," which was a group track in the 1970s [on the "Surf's Up" album]. Brian recorded a basic track with a full band for part one. And he also recorded a sort of a demo version, its just him double-tracked and a piano track. What the band did was they used the part one backing track and tried to fly Brian's vocal into that, but the technology at the time really made that impossible. So what happened was that Carl sang the [lead] vocal and overdubs were added [forthe Surf's Up album version]. And for the second half, they used Brian's piano vocal piece and added very few additions.

With the technology we have today, its much much easier to take Brian's vocal for part one and put it onto the backing track. I have done it and its quite nice. Now we have the ability to shift time things very easily so those synchronizations can be accomplished.

I've been lurking on these forums for a few months now, and i finally decided to just join in.

Anyways, i'm currently studying sound engineering and recording in school right now, and i'm such a huge BB fan.
I've come across a couple pictures that i'm pretty sure are from the SMiLE era (it's possible they could be from PS, not too sure)
and i was wondering if anyone of the very knowledgable people here knew what kind of microphones they're using in these pics?

Thanks
