Apparently the album will be released on March 31 in Germany and I guess in the rest of Europe, too. http://www.magistrix.de/news/musik/14540-album-am-31-maerz

Sometimes it's an advantage living in Europe.  Grin

Oops, just saw that the Berlinale starts next sunday and not today...  Tip Toe

Are you going to see the movie today or one of the other screenings? Can't wait to hear how it was!

Although I'm still confused why they only published two pictures officially until now. Wouldn't it be useful for reports about the movie to have some moved pictures?

Thank you! It's always fascinating to hear contemporary reports about the Boys. Smiley

Hey, there's already a discussion about the news: http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,17691.msg496975.html#msg496975

I wish Brian would use the search function. It's always the same with him...

Ah, it's also on Brian's homepage: http://www.brianwilson.com/news

You live in Berlin? Get two, I'm coming! Smiley

Yep, really looking forward to it.

If I wasn't a poor student far away from Berlin...  Cry  Have a great time! For me too... Wink

I'm really surprised and thrilled that Brian will come to Berlin. The Boys get far too little recognition in Germany. At least I always have the impression that I have to defend my taste of music whereas listening to the Beatles or Stones seems to be much cooler...

I'm curious if the movie will be shown in the usual cinemas in Germany. Until now i thought that it will be shown in very few small cinemas in English as a kind of niche movie that the general public won't be interested in. But now there's even a german website for Love and Mercy: http://www.loveandmercy.de/

Gee, I'm really looking forward to force all my friends to watch that movie!  Pirate

Do you remember the Crenshaw Apartment's where you had a studio and you were doing pre-production on pet sounds or recording new artists on your record label Safari Records? If so do you remember the little girl riding her red tricycle around and is she a long lost relative to your family? Was her name Sandy or nick named Sissy ? and if so is the Wilson family looking for her?
Shrug Shrug Shrug

It lost me too Lee!  Thankfully Brian knows how to answer those curveball types of questions.  Grin

Something like: "Knowing Sandy is like liking a Phil Spector record." ?  Wink

With sound! That's great. Probably just mics on the camera but maybe the live footage also has some sound.

At first I thought it was one of those "shred"-Videos when Al started to strum on his guitar...  Tip Toe

Great find otherwise!

The most interesting answer was the love you tour question. They have "talked" about doing one.

Not sure that one would sell a lot of tickets...

Do it in small venues, clubs even.

Just Brian with a snare drum... That'd be artistic courage!  Smokin

I think a lot of people here will be quite disappointed when they'll learn that Brian's upcoming autobiography will only contain his favorite pizzeria recipes of the last seventy years.  LOL

I'm just enjoying the fact that Brian is still around and shares a few details of his life with us. You can't expect Brian to deliver profound answers to our sophisticated questions. On the other hand it might be something else if Mike or Al chose to look around for a Q&A...

He answered my question. I'm still gobsmacked.  Thud

His favorite is F sharp seventh. What a revelation!  Afro   Wink

This was one of the all-timers for me.  I think Brian was fighting back tears on this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcqvknM6vFI
I had something in my eye as well when I first saw this. Damn small summer bugs. Tongue

Since I heard "I Have A Dream" by ABBA for the first time, I just can't stand to hear children's choirs. It's too mawkish.  Shrug

And this didn't make it any better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpDEMdhmPVs  Tip Toe

Apart from that I'm asking myself what the youngsters in the audience really thought of Brian's performance...
43  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: The fact Mike has admitted to reading this board on: January 21, 2015, 03:33:13 PM
Somehow I'm sorry for Mike that his moment of glory on this board was swept away by one little "Hi" by Brian.

But I'm optimistic that he'll get over it.  Wink
44  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Hi from Brian on: January 21, 2015, 08:43:05 AM
To those who don't speak German: "Radfahrer" means "bicycle rider"...

Well, all the good English names were taken.  Wink

By the way: to those who don't speak German: "Micha" really just means "Micha"...

Anyway, I hope that Brian rests himself after his tremendous trip into the madness of this board...  Cool
